Yup, #11 is weak for a WR......non-80 numbers makes them look like they're on the practice squad.

80 for Robo is nice though (he's going to have to win me over on his play - methinks he's going to be average).

What's everyone's infatuation with receivers having numbers in the 80's? I've noticed that on this forum for a few years now.

Personally I think they should open up the single digits for wideouts and DB's. Make it more like college and high school.

a lot of people dont like any non 80's because its different. some people just dont like what they are not used to. i like your idea, change it up a little.

I believe that the motivation for opening up 11 to 19 for WR's was that some teams had retired some of those numbers and it was difficult to fill out a roster without a retired number.

I have not seen a new QB wearing anything else other than 1 to 10 for the past couple of years, it looks as though they have been limited to those numbers.

I'm sure you meant 19 as there are plenty of QBs in the teens.

There's one that comes to mind....mentally weak, full of self, prioritizes modeling consultations during an actual football game....can't think of his name right now.....

I know who you're talking about. I really liked him when he was in college. I'm an OSU fan and he single handedly (or no handedly) stopped several Michigan drives to help us win.

Mammal, you animal. I am Old School football, and I like it so far. The Rings don't win games; poularity can't make a goal line stand stick, reputations don't whip opponents. I like the APPROACH to the game for a change on the coaching side of things. If the whiners, weakhearts, etc. don't want to play hard, then keep the Marines. I have a glimmer of hope. We shall see. The REAL players may not be here yet.

81 Patten, David WR 5-10 190 08/19/1974 12 Western Carolina
82 Heiden, Steve TE 6-5 270 09/21/1976 10 South Dakota State
83 Ellis, Devale WR 5-10 174 04/02/1984 2 Hofstra
84 Royal, Robert TE 6-4 257 05/15/1978 8 LSU
85 Madsen, John TE 6-5 240 05/09/1983 3 Utah
86 Rucker, Martin TE 6-4 260 05/04/1985 2 Missouri
87 Walker, Aaron TE 6-6 270 03/14/1980 5 Florida
88 Furrey, Mike WR 6-0 195 05/12/1977 7 Northern Iowa
89 Hubbard, Paul WR 6-2 225 06/12/1985 2 Wisconsin

This is the reason for the WR wearing numbers that aren't in the 80's. Which number would you give him

Let's not forget Robiske wearing #80..

I'd guess that there are at least three of those mentioned that won't make the team,,, Just a guess but I'd say that Ellis, Madsen and maybe either Furrey or Hubbard, although Hubbard has what appears to be some upside. He certainly has the size....

I have a problem with Selfless. I want quarterbacks to be selfish ... and runningbacks ... and any player approaching a "loose ball"

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Selfless is in the context about placing "team" before "individual" stats.

eg... Harrison should have played more last year, but Lewis because he is the veteran gets more carries and has a 1000 yard season.

just read an OBR article that someone posted on the "other" board...

Wow is all I have to say... I would be pissed if I were Cribbs...

I have never seen clevelandbrowns.com issue a statement about a player b/c of a contract... NEVER!!
