Do either of U really have a football take or just a retread of the seemingly endless barrage of babble you're known for? If so come back tomorrow..
First of all, reading through half your posts in this thread alone, one could be prompted to ask you the same thing.
Second of all, there are few people here who tell me how, when and what to post (theyre called refs, and they tell me what NOT to post). Either way, you ain't one of 'em.

You think everybody on the Browns from the owner to the waterboy sucks.. that's why nobody takes you seriously.
1. Well, that's not true...I have written in the appropriate thread who I deem above average to good to great on this roster...not many but there are a few
2. I ask you to do 1 thing: list all starting 34 OLB in this league...and then come back to me and tell me with a straight face that Wimbley is anywhere close to being even middle of the pack on that list
3. I don't like my opinion but it's as honest as it gets

Ahh so it's an opinion you want....Is it ok that I use big words???? Don't recall asking for your feelings...if U know some big words other than goo -goo that'll be fine
Actually your thoughts on him are pretty much mine..although I'd go further and say he wouldn't be a starter if there was a better option. He will never be able to set the edge because he isn't strong enough to hold his position and shed the blocker consistantly and force the runner inside..he needs help doing it..
Better than good.. More than Lampy ..who musta got a nice wedgie from me ...awwww...

Thomas, Smith..to name a few...I'm just saying that for him. The problem Daman was the fact that he wasn't a top guy coming out from FSU..he wasn't even a factor in their defense...he had like 12 sacks in his 4 seasons..or something like that.. He wasn't the best pick and I said so as soon as I found out Phil was sniffing at him..there better guys (tweeners)Savage could have drafted after the first round..does Dumervile ring a bell? Mourg and I were banging the net for that pick ..coulda had a passer rusher in the fourth..

What I meant Attack, is that there isn't anyone in the league that isn't replacable by someone better..
Payton Manning could be replaced,, if someone beats him out.. Adrian Peterson can also.. anyone can if someone better comes along.. that's as it should be.
As for whether or not he was the best pick, outside of his first season, he's not done anything exciting.. When we changed coaching staffs this year and hired Ryan as DC, I had hoped he could have some influence on Wimbley..
Thus far, I've not seen much change.., Granted the year is still young,,, but I'm really not hopeful..

25 poounds Wimbley doesn't have the legs for that kind of weight.
Don't know if he can build them up (legs). If he would put on weight it better be there...and there alone. I'd love to see 10-15 pounds put onto his base. He better start running up those mountains!!
As for his play? Its getting better. He still gets sucked into blockers rather than staying free in space - that really is his one nemesis right now. And it usually comes on the run game. But I see him going now 50-50 on those plays...for every good he does have a bad one where he just runs right into the blocker while positioning on the outside and just gets way too close to him and when the RB makes his out or in move...there is not much he can do. His cover skills are getting better but I'd rather see him move around and pass rush 99% of the time. I'm still waiting for a twist with him and Rogers. (twist = new Lingo for Stunt).
But I wish to keep all young talent who are "PROGRESSING" and I see Wimbley "PROGRESSING" this year more than in his last 2 seasons.

I think the thing that I liked the most out of him was in week one. We had the Vikes backed up almost to the goaline, and Wimbley came off the left side of the o-line and litterally blew Bryant McKinney away.
That was always on of everyones biggest problems with him (mine included) he only tried to speed rush, and only had one speed rush move. Hopefully this is a telling fact. Ryan's coaching is getting to him.

Wimbley looks a little better. He has serious problems getting off blocks. Even when I watch Hall, he reads the play and seperates to make a tackle. Seen it several times. I can't recall Wimbley ever doing that. He gets "eaten up" alot at the line of scrimmage. His coverage skills are below average. He pulls up way too much. He could be a step away from hitting the QB and he will pull up for some reason. Which tells me he is thinking way too much and not going on instinct. Only time will tell how much better he will get, but I'm not expecting much more. I think we've seen his ceiling. I hope not. JMHO

I agree with you on most, except for coverage. I think Wimbley is good in coverage.

Actually..against Minnesota I specifically remember Wimbley doing a great job taking away the corner from Peterson in the first half and made a nice open field tackle for a minimal gain. He did an excellent job of shedding off the blocker on that play.

I don't know about that, but he certainly didn't look to me like he is very competent at setting the edge or tackling. I don't know if he is still adjusting to being a LB or what, but it looks more and more like we should just pull the plug on him, IMO.
you had a good run Hank.

After seeing some of these bs roughing calls lately, who could blame him?

Last week he was the guy 5 yards away from Chad 85 in the endzone on a crucial play. Not saying its his fault but it looked like it was his matchup and even though is a big miss match why do you give 85 5 yards in the endzone? And i saw him get beat a few times today. Just saying im tired of watching him get beat..

Because the ball was off and he didn't let up, he pancaked him. It was the right call IMO.

I agree, that call was absolutely ridiculous. The Steelers fans around us (who were actually pulling really hard for the Browns for some weird reason?) were even upset...pretty funny stuff. I thought maybe he got called for a blow to the head, but he didn't hit him in the head.

And what made it worse was the announcers knew it was crap call ... and swallowed their mics. It was a joke of a production today. One of the two even said that Edwards had a really good arm.
I can't wait for the invention where you can mute the announcers but get the field sound.

Damons on Hamilton Rd did us a favor by not allowing sound to come out of TV #2 for the entire game. Therefore, we listened to the Steelers game instead and watched the Browns in silence.

Not sure how old you are, but NBC actually did a game without announcers for a game in 1982 I believe. (dolphins v jets)

You may not agree with the call......I certainly didn't......but the Refs make that call 9 times out of 10 in that circumstance all over the NFL.
It's like getting nailed for running a yellow light. If the offender had stopped and thought for a second he would have stopped and not given the official the chance to use his discretion on the call.
The question is how long before Jauron gets the axe?

Next week is going to be very ugly.
I have a buddy coming to town. My girlfriend is going to drop us off at the bar where we'll be meeting a Steeler buddy of mine. I will compensate ugliness with the right amounts of beer and chicken wings. I suspect to have a full belly and be drunk off my arse by game's end.

I expect to be in the fetal position on the bottom of my running shower by the end next week's game. The thing is, no one with half a brain would expect that we will be able to hang with the stoolers. It would be akin to "The Miracle on Ice" if we even hung with them even for a little. So given that, I'm not going to get too worked up next week when we figure out a way to make this latest loss to pukesberg the most humiliating loss to them possible. It's not just losing to them, it has to be more embarassing than just an average loss. So with these expectations, any thing that even resembles a competitive game will be a victory. That's what it means to be a Browns fan at this point.

You guys should follow MoveTheSticks on Twitter.
Guy's name is Daniel Jeremiah and he was a scout with the Browns the past two seasons.
He had some interesting tweets about Kam this morning.

I agree, even Doug Dieken on TV last night didn't think they had a chance against the Steelers..
But stranger things have happened.. Us beating the Steelers with Tim Couch under center a number of years back ranks up there.. us beating the Giants last year is way up there also.. So anything is possible.. But really, I hold out no hope.. Not this time

I think he is correctly interpreting the rule.. which is why it's a stupid rule. the call isn't bad, the rule is bad.
