If Mangini is doing the GM duties as well as HC then why pay a GM? Is Mangini that much of a micro-manager that he did not allow Kokinis to do his job?
and why not fire the HC for going behind the GM's back?
So was it the same situation with Erin O'Brien? Did she have a job without any actual duties?
Maybe Randy does not want to pay a salary to someone who does no actual work.If Randy is trying to fire someone "with cause" it means he does not want to pay them their remaining contract, for whatever reason.
The one question that I can't get over is this: Wouldn't Kokinis HAVE to sign off on the BE to Jets trade? He has final say over the roster written in his contract (he HAS to, because we lured him from Baltimore and that's the only way we could have done it). So if Mangini makes a trade without him knowing, that would be a clear violation of HIS contract, and it seems like he could either file a grievance against the Browns or Mangini, or the trade would be null and void without his approval.
This is just so weird.
