I love the idea that Chris Bosh is the Heat's best player...

that was a tough game we stuck around and LeBron was pretty much a non factor only thing would have made it better was if we had won. To many turnovers and at the end to many missed shots. I can see though that this team greatly improved over last years team. Just need to keep the good work up and draft well again next year.
If you need 3 years to be a winner you got here 2 years to early. Get it done Browns.

This game has been so frustrating to watch. Cavs have played so well on the defensive end, which they hardly ever do, and they've bumbled it away with their lack of scoring ability.
These two things tend to go hand in hand. Could mean that the condensed season is starting to take its toll a bit.

Yeah, it seems like a lot of teams are having problems on the offensive end of the court. I was just reading an article about how many teams have been really erratic as far as scoring is concerned.

And then Wilbon went on to say, this was the reason why he thinks Lebron will be back in C-town at the end of this current contract. Lebron sees that all he needs is a true #2 compliment player...not another #1. Wade only slows him down in Miami.
With talk of him "mentoring" Thompson and Irving" I think this is a real possibility. Whats his Miami contract 3 years? I'm not sure. Wouldnt surprise me a bit and the fans would cheer and shout for it.

I would take that guy back, no question about it. At the end of the day, I think Lebron realizes the heat probably isn't the dynasty he thought it was going to be. He may win 1, maybe 2 over in miami, but not the 4, 5, or 6 he thought 2 summers ago.
If him and Gilbert ever reconcile, I would like to think he would return, if given the opportunity. The excitement that was brought to cleveland when he was here was nothing like I've ever seen.

I believe they all have out-clauses after next season.
I have always said he'd be back, but is Kyrie the right guy for him? He's a point guard, point guards handle the ball, is he going to give up the ball so Kyrie can do his job?
I think if we can land a good lottery pick this year, and he pans out, Cleveland will look like a pretty good landing place for any FA, including Lebron. By that I don't mean we're signing Dwight, but maybe that mid-level guy who can help you for your championship run? Better shot at getting him.

man, that was a fun game. LeBron really trying to give us the game in the 4th quarter. a shame that Bosh just completely took over (where was Tristan - he at least wouldn't have let Bosh walk all over him like Hollins and Samuel were doing).
most frustrating part of the game was when we went through the long scoring droughts in the 3rd and 4th with Irving on the bench. He's our best creator, we can't score. How about we put him in the game and see what happens.
Also, Gibson is our 2nd best guard. really wish we could find more minutes for him. he's playing the best defense of any of our guards (that's not saying much) and he can hit some shots at least. Love seeing him on the floor with Irving near the end (the drive-n-dish 3pter wasn't as pretty as it could have been but it was good to see).
Parker does get some props though. He wasn't taking any gruff from LeBron in the post. He had an elbow in his back and was doing his best to deny entry passes. If he could just stay in front of anybody or hit 3pters.

I thought that only the articles there that used inappropriate language were deleted. This was just a nice breakdown of one of the things Irving is best at. Apologies to the refs if this link is not allowed.

Tied with NYK at the half the day after getting edge by Heat. If we can pull this one out, we might gain some momentum... Maybe a little too much momentum... "Yeah, maybe a little to Raph..." EDIT: BTW WHAT THE HECK ARE WE WEARING?? EDIT #2: Omari Casspi occasionally reminds me of that really old white guy that plays Rec League basketball... And I HATE Jameson so much...

Just clicking...
For all the doom and gloomers out there, remember that we have only played 6 home games so far out of 17. Taking that into account 7-10 doesn't seem so bad.
I'm gonna say we go 28-38 and finish 9th or 10th in the East.

In the long run, that is probably the worst thing that could happen to this team this year.

As bad as making the playoffs would be, I really want to grab the 7 or 8 seed, and even just take Miami to 7 games would be a victory for me...
Then when they get knocked out in round 2 they can start the "Will LeBron opt out?" crap again...
All it took for ESPN to want LeBron to be in Cleveland was for him toleave apparently...

I cannot root for my team to lose. I mean unless this year the Browns were like 0-12 with Andrew Luck coming out, I just can't do it.
I root for the Cavs to win every game, but I know in the long run, with this class coming out, and the depth of talent in the lottery, it's best that they just suck as hard as possible.
I just can't stomach it, although it would have been easier this year with the shortened season.
The one thing that would derail this team completely is if Irving got hurt, and with his issues at Duke last year, I can't root for that. I want to see that kid healthy and playing every game. You don't want to see a player like that hurt and on the injury report that early in his career.
It's a tough spot for all of us to be in as Cavs fans.
Let the chips fall where they may, I guess.

I agree Im actually likeing watching this team play and learn ard grow. I want them to make the playoffs it will give them much needed experance and draft picks can be bought unlike in the NFL.
That being said I see another fire sale at the trade deadline we wont get what we got last year but should get some picks in future years. (protected picks)

Perhaps but it is also the most likely. Even if we do make the playoffs, chances are we face the Bulls. Miami is the 5th seed right now but will likely end up 2 or 3. We would have karma on our side in a series vs. Miami and there would be TONS of pressure on LeBron but I really just can't see it happening.
Looking at the standings right now I don't see how we finish any further down than 10th or 11th. There are some pretty bad teams out there in the east.
If we finish .500 I would be elated.

They're 7 or 8-1 without Wade...maybe 7-2 after their loss to Milwaukee. Regardless, they've won a lot more than they've lost with Wade on the bench.

top10 picks are not truly sold. I can't think of a case where a pick like that has been purely sold. Closest thing you might get to it is LAC shipping Baron off to us for Mo (Mo had less $$$ on his contract). Noone is selling high though in what is expected to be a really good draft.

I hope so, but I don't know if we will find any takers for Jamison or Parker. Sessions and AV have value to the league, but I am not sure that someone will pay us enough that it offsets their value to us.

Jamison will probably just be bought out. I can't see anybody giving up anything for him. He hasn't shown any kind of value to a team that is trying to make a run. Not starting, not off the bench, just not at all.
Sessions I think you can probably get something for. But as it was said, we're not getting any lotto picks this year through any trade. Probably 2's or low 1's.
I would love to get a low 1st from someone, and just hope you can find yourself a solid starter.

I thought he was in his last year? I would at least consider trading him to someone whos looking to dump cap, as long as whoever we took on can contribute... If not, hey, more room for us...

I don't know if that would be worth it for us. I mean what would we really get outside of a bad contract that goes past this season?
I don't care one way or another. It's not like we're contending, but man he's bad. Class act and a true pro, but it's obvious he's about done in the league.

He could be a part of a package deal with someone else maybe that wants someone like Sessions or whoever we might trade, to make the money work...
I want to trade him just so he can go hit the front of the rim somewhere else...

not sure how I missed this earlier in the season (i've watched other Magic games), but I was taken aback last night when TNT zoomed in on the Magic bench and there sat Mark Price on the Magic bench. Their new shooting coach this year: http://www.nba.com/magic/news_price_120911.htmlApparently, he has been working on routines with Ryan Anderson to improve his 3pt shooting (looking good so far there) and Dwight Howard with his FTs (ouch, that's not working out as he's 10% worse than last year). there was a brief mention that Mark completely re-vamped Dwight's release on the FT shots, so perhaps it's just in a transition phase right now. anyways, good to see that one of the best Cavalier players ever is still in the league.

Oh this should get an interesting response Report: LeBron James may consider free agency in 2014; could he return to Cleveland? PUBLISHED Thursday, Jan 26, 2012 at 12:53 pm EST LeBron James is “less than thrilled with certain aspects of the Heat organization,” and will consider opting out of his contract after the 2013-14 season if Pat Riley remains president of the organization, Fox Sports Ohio reports (via Pro Basketball Talk). While James likes playing with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, he “doesn’t particularly care for the heavy-handed and disciplined style” of Riley, according to Fox Sports. LeBron James doesn't like Pat Riley's heavy-handed rule over the Heat, according to a report by Fox Sports Ohio. Should James take the free agency route in ’14, he’d have his eyes on returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers, sources tell Fox Sports. We recommend digesting this nugget with a healthy dose of salt. A Cavs exec implied the team may not even be interested in bringing James back, telling the site that the organization wants to “build things the right way,” and create a culture similar to those in San Antonio or Oklahoma City, where the focus is on the team more than the superstar. We’re not sure exactly how to take that. It's obvious that the Cavs' organization still holds a grudge against James, so that would be a reason why they wouldn't be interested. But to suggest the Spurs and Thunder have built their teams sans stars? Tim Duncan and Kevin Durant fit well within the definition of "star." web page
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

BW started this off pure speculation before the Cavs v. Heat game and various outlets have filtered their versions since.
