This is Miami's effort to make sure NO ONE can blame LeBron for them losing..

Bosh hurt.

Wade playing like crap.

LeBron needs to opt-out and go join Kobe, Pau, and Bynum next summer if he wants to win a title.

His defense was bad, but he balled out on offense tonight

He's closing in on a 20/20 game, so yeah, I'm ok with his play today (plus 5 blocks)

The argument was, IIRC, that if the cavs didn't go the route of tanking we'd end up like The Pacers. They don't seem to be doing too bad, do they?

Hibbert - 17th Overall
Granger - 17th Overall
George - 10th Overall
Hill - 26th overall (Trade from SA for the 15th pick)
Hansbrough - 13th Overall
David West - 2 years, 20 Mil

Draft well, no matter where you are, and find that key FA pick up.

I had them pegged coming into this year as a sleeper team. Sure, I didn't expect the entire East to get hurt to open a possible Finals door to them, but I'm happy for them if they can take advantage.

oh, and the Heat have no heart. not even a comeback effort.

As funny as "Thunder/Pacers" was to say.

That would be an awesome series..

I think OKC would win.

And I'm sure ratings would suck.

But still.

If we get Anthony Davis. You can almost book Heat/Cavs in the first round next year...

David Stern loves his sports movies.

Games 3 and 4 would have the biggest bloodthirsty crowd in the history of sports at any level. It'd be historical.

Should there be a game 6, and it be a closeout game for the Cavs, all hell would break loose.

Never a good sign when Mario Chalmers and Joel Anthony combine for nearly half of your team's points.

Most actually are contacted physically before they flop.

You know ..... if I'm a ref ..... and I see crap like that, where a player takes advantage of such a minor "contact" to induce me into a foul call ..... and basically makes me look like an ass in doing so .... I am going to watch every call for the rest of the series, and if I have any question, the guy isn't going to get a single benefit of the doubt.

They do it in hockey, it's called diving, usually the ref calls both guys. It's not really flopping, because there is an infraction by the player, it's just that the victim of the penalty exaggerates it.

I don't think these Refs in the NBA can do it, the game is not as fast as hockey but the players play closer to each other, a guy backs down another guy like the video of Boozer and Bosh, From far away Bosh sold the hell out of it. It's just different.

I think what they should do is suspend guys a game for obvious crap like that. 1 game, 1 game check. The Lebron one I don't think you could give him a game for that, but the Bosh one is just embarassing.

Manu Ginobli is the guy who really made flopping an art form in the NBA.

2007 playoffs (not Finals) I remember a play where the guy driving by him was a good 2ft away and he sold the heck out of it and got the call. he's always watching where the refs are stationed and pays attentions to what it should look like from the angle they have.

I agree on suspensions for flopping. make it like the technical system. points get accrued and after so many points, 1 game, after so many more, 1 game, then it escalates. reset for the playoffs.

I thought about Vlade when I wrote it actually

Vlade was an exaggeration flopper. A little contact and he'd act like a bomb went off and he's 10feet backwards. But, at least there was contact.

Manu can actually get a call when noone is near enough to touch him. Now, that's art.

Mike&Mike spending this morning discussing that Miami should trade Dwayne Wade for Dwight Howard. In fact, they were making the argument that they should trade Wade&Bosh for Howard&role players because having 3 superstar salaries is too crippling to a roster.

Pretty hilarious how it was always about our crappy cast of players around Lebron the whole time he was in Cleveland, but honestly, watching the Heat against a good but not great Indy team, the guys around Lebron and Wade are crap. No mention of it though. This team isn't that good, and it's crazy how they looked unbeatable during the regular season but when the opposition starts taking every possession seriously, and the transition points become a premium, they're just not that great.

I've definitely flipped, which is crazy because I said these guys had a cakewalk. I think I overrated them and I undersold Indy, and maybe even Boston a little bit.
