Are they changing their names to "The Bigfoots" today?  Except maybe for the color scheme, those are some incredibly ugly helmets.

Traditional (glossy)
Chrome (Oregon, UNC and a few others)
Flat (matte finish...too many to list)

Beating Buffalo, which technically hasn't happened yet, won't move the Rockets up the rankings....especially a close game. They'll probably drop, even with a win. Buffalo stinks (0-3, 1-6).

I'm not quite sure how Jones fits with us. I like Cogong as our SSLB. Unless Jones can pop to MLB and move Jackson to WLB, I think we might be better off with someone else. But, word seems to have it that this guy is the best defensive player in college football, and that does say something. I just got a lot of love for Cogong, and I wish that the best defensive player in college football was a FS or a DE or a CB

He's gotta be looking at a torn ACL, PCL, MCL and LCL. He probably also broke his femur and patella all in one hit.

My buddy just watched the gif from above, and he's got a steel-lined stomach plus gets his kicks off watching sports injuries, and he said, "Oh man, close the window.....turn it off".
Gruesome.
The only thing worse that could have happened to him would have been if the leg flew off and landed in the front row.
I don't know the guy from Adam, but I really feel for him.

I didn't watch it, probably won't, at least for a while. Sports medicine is pretty good today, so you never know, but it's a darn shame these injuries happen.

I decided I'm all for taking just about any trade of our first this year that gets us an extra likely top 15 pick (as trade ammo) in 2014. Clowney is just what our D needs and there just doesn't seem to be a really dominant DE in this year's draft... Though admittedly I haven't been able to watch nearly as much football this year as I have in the past.

Bill O'Brien still gets my vote for coach of the year... well.. maybe Bill Snyder gets my vote, but O'Brien would be close second... the job he's done at PSU has been amazing... PSU will be looking pretty good in the next couple of years as long as they can get the recruits

Penn State hasnt really felt the long term effects of their sanctions. The scholarship cuts and bowl bans will really set the program back for a long time

They are affected by the sanctions. 14 of their teammates walked away. If just2 of those 14 stayed, the K(Texas) and RB(USC), PSU would be 7-1 easy.

That USC RB is from my hometown! Silas Redd. Not sure if he'll be an NFL RB though. I imagine he'll get drafted, but I dunno if he'll ever be a starter or anything.
USC has really dissapointed me this season, period. Going into the season I thought they were gonna be really good, then I watched Alabama on the opening night and realized who the real number 1 was. USC was good their opening night too, but they've lost games to Stanford and Arizona now........
I dunno if Barkley is gonna be that top pick anymore, I imagine he will be because the only other QB that seems to be worth much is Geno Smith. But I agree with Dilfer, Weeden is a better prospect then any QB this year. Bronze Bomber whips up straight fire!

I don't believe that BarKley will be the top pick in the draft. Frankly, he looks like Colt McCoy with better teammates to me. I think that he'll be a first round pick, but I think that it will be the middle to end of the first round. He simply does not have elite tools. He'll get over-drafted for position, but hopefully not by us.

Gotta disagree with you. I'm not sure about his intangibles and how they match up to McCoy, but I do think he has a better arm.
I don't think he has an arm the caliber of Luck, Weeden, or Griffin though. And I don't think he can throw the ball as hard as Tannehill. But I've always been impressed with Barkley's throws. He definitely has a stronger arm then Colt IMO

I disagree.
He might have the best receivers in college football, yet he is not putting up super impressive numbers. (The Arizona loss aside)
He can beat up on a Hawaii, Syracuse, or Utah, or Colorado ....... and he has, with 19 TD and 1 INT in those 4 games ...... but in his other 4 games, against Stanford, Cal, Washington and Arizona, he has only 6 TD and 7 INT.
Hawaii is 1-6. Syracuse is 4-4. Utah is 3-6. Colorado is 1-7. Nothing impressive there.
I see a decent college QB who does not have those great tools that great NFL QBs have. I do not believe that he will be a plus level NFL QB. I see another Brady Quinn/Colt McCoy type, who will struggle to make it as a starter because of flaws in his game and abilities.

345 receiving yards is quite ridiculous. And he's a true sophomore. It will be interesting to see how he performs next season with a new QB.
