They had a deadline to beat in order to get his new cap number in. The paperwork had to be in by 4 PM EST and they didn't think they'd get it in so they cut him.

Something more complicated than that, but along those lines.

I like Lloyd as a replacement for MoMass. Nothing fancy, but crafty and reliable.

Crisp routes, good hands.
Nice veteran to help bring Little, Gordon, Benjamin and Norwood along.
