Here is an alternative scoring system I will throw out for consideration - For each game your team wins you take the round and multiply it by the teams seed. If a #12 seed wins 2 games they give you 36 points. 12x1 for round one and 12x2 for round 2.
Highest point value for a contestants two teams combined wins.
This way if you were to draw an 8 and a 10 seed you would still have a reasonable chance at winning.
The only bad thing in that scenario is if you have a #1 seed, the best you can do is 28 points. So, a Louisville winning 7 games would have less points than an Oregon winning only 2 games. Love the idea though, just have to make a minor tweak somehow.

Guess I should have done more math. Good pickup.
Maybe instead of round x seed we should assign a point value to each round. Perhaps doubling as the tourney progresses.
Round 1 - 1x seed
Round 2 - 2x seed
Round 3 - 4x seed
Round 4 - 8x seed
etc
Not sure if that would work any better or not. Just tossing out ideas.

Appreciate the input Jester! I'm just going to do last man standing because I think that's the easiest for all involved (especially me  ) and it makes it easier to track for all those in the pool.

I actually agree with that. I've watched them play 3 times this year (vs. Georgetown) and they definitely have some talent. They may surprise some people. I have them going to the Sweet 16 in one of my brackets.

So I got Pittsburgh - how interesting. When I attended CMU, Pitt was the school we hated most. Now I get to cheer for them. I have a feeling my teams, Pitt and NW State will have early exits. Hope I'm wrong. Thanks for doing this Blind Draw.

I have a 7 seed in Illinois and a 12 seed in Oregon and both make out of the opening round. I know the NCAA wants to call this the 2nd round but seriously?
