He use to be special. Last year he looked like he lost not only one step but maybe two steps!!!!
Medical reasons are not the only reason he hasn't went anywhere.3 or 4 years ago he would have been swooped up even with this injury.
I will pass.....

Cribbs was pretty doggone special. I'll take a wait and see, on Bess.

I agree. Cribbs did a lot for the team when afforded the opportunity. Bademosi is doing as much, though, to make him expendable as Benjamin is.

Josh Cribbs remains on the free-agent market despite his best attempts to land a job. Now, we have a better idea why.

New York Jets general manager John Idzik told Conor Orr of The Star-Ledger on Tuesday that Cribbs' surgically repaired left knee "isn't quite there yet."

The Jets were one of four teams Cribbs worked out for last week. Cribbs also met with the Detroit Lions, Oakland Raiders and New York Giants. That he's still without a contract tells us the other teams might share the findings of Idzik and the Jets.

Cribbs is coming back from arthroscopic knee surgery for a torn meniscus. He reportedly failed a physical with the Arizona Cardinals back in March. At the time, it was believed that the knee would check out with a few more weeks of recovery time.

Two months later, a general manager publicly has said Cribbs' knee still isn't right. It's not good news for the standout return man, whose free agency stay might become indefinite.

Sorry to hear that.

Maybe we can do one of those sign and retire deals.

If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

Maybe Cribbs just needs a little extra time to heal up his knee after surgery. After that he'll be healthy and ready. Maybe he'll get picked up mid-season.

Cribbs should sue the NFL for changing the kick-off rule.

His stock went way down after that stunt, since it was his best ability.

Are you serious? Maybe the Browns should sue him for stealing their money.

Maybe noone should sue anybody, and just give me their money?

Should have signed John Abraham. Whatever, I've given up on them for this year. Somewhere between 6-10 and 8-8 is in their future.

Worse if they suffer from some key injuries.

There were several anticipatory threads on the Raiders board about him coming to visit yesterday. The alternative was starting Usama Young, so... good signing.
