Well I certainly hope that Kerry Rhodes is in Cleveland because our chance of addressing our Safety position has just gone to Pittsburgh. WTF is that Banner! What is your BAC in the drivers seat! Well I guess I will mow the lawn because we don't pick again for 1.5 hours.

Hyperbole much? Geez. He's a 4th round safety. Lets not start carving the bust yet.

Browns are losing this draft 100 to nothing! Banner, Lombardi, Haslem, They are swimming in the middle of the ocean with no raft.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

I was using the 4th round to avoid picking up dog poop and mowing the grass. Now I have no excuses. Damn you, Joe Banner, damn you!
Also, looks like the run on QB's is well under way. Good, hope they're all gone before we pick again.

I've wanted a safety all draft...............but a FS. We need a cover guy. It would be nice if the were tall. There are some good TEs in the AFC North. I'm good with the trade. Likely ammo for something else. Also tells me team might be better then I thought maybe.

True, we didn't throw it away. We get a pick next year, as opposed to filing in a spot this year. It's a bonehead move, period. Just my humble opinion.

I'm starting to wonder as well if that after reviewing tape of our guys and the mini camp if the new FO has some higher hopes for some of our young guys than they originally thought they would ...Jordan, Gipson, Bademosi, etc.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Why is everyone acting like we just gave the Steelers our pick without compensation?
The value difference is pretty much negligible IMO.
Is it worth waiting 12 months, on a team that needs to plug holes this season, to move up around 20 draft slots?
I get that it is theoretically a better pick but much of that value gain is mitigated by having to wait another season to draft a player. What if Pittsburgh wins the SB? Or gets deep in the playoffs? We delayed picking a player for 12 months, with some glaring team needs, in exchange to move up half a round next year?
I just hate the strategy. We aren't New England. The team doesn't have the luxury of exchanging current selections for future ones.

Mingo... One of, if not the, top pass rushers in the draft. Gordon... A freak athlete with soft hands and a year under his belt. MCFadden... A quick footed CB that fits our scheme. Bess... A known talent at the NFL level.
I'll take this draft.

The dudes the Steelers selected was not someone the browns brought in for an evaluation.. From what I recall they brought in Don Jones who is likely to still be available in the 5th.

Personally I would be happy to get 5% one year return on my money in this economy. Local football team makes a trade guaranteeing a ~100% 1 year return on its investment and people flip out. It's mind boggling. And quit using my nickname.

As Joe Banner said and it's 1000000000% true: We aren't going to fill every need this year.

Draft rule 101: NEVER trade with a division Rival.
Remember i lambasted Phil Savage for trading with the Ravens...they got Ngata...we got stuck with Gumby!
Now we most likely just handed the Steelers a future HOF at S and we get pretty much nothing....brilliant!
LOL you guys kill me. So was this guy picked 1st or 111th? So a mid-fourth round pick is a guaranteed HOFer? lol seriously?
Congratulations to our 2016 NBA Champion CLEVELAND CAVALIERS!!! Greatest comeback in sports history... Hail to the King!

So you would be happier if we took a guy we had, say a fifth round grade on?
This time next year, we're all going to be elated that we have two thirds.

Browns FO is pretty much saying Heckert's picks last year are acceptable and there is no need to redraft the same position. Chud and his coaches will make these guys better. All this and get additional third round pick next year. In the end, Banner/Lombardi think there is better value in the third next year over fourth this year.

Don't forget the 6'1 210 Josh Evans from Florida either. He was also a visit. It is 50/50 he will be there for us in the 5th. We have 2 7ths. May try to trade up.

I am hoping for Barrett Jones here.
I really wanted Jones here (good value), but getting their 3rd next year is getting really good value also. I guess we're satisfied with our OG 's at this point...

31st pick in the fifth.
NFL.com says the Dolphins have that pick.
Says we have pick #139 ... 6th in that round. But we traded that in the Bess trade, for what I thought was pick #146 but NFL.com is saying that's the Packers pick?
I'm lost.

Interesting thought might be true.
or maybe they want to see how all the youngins play out this year and have a nice pick next year. With better idea of real needs and a higher pick.

The Browns traded their 31st pick in the 5th for Bess, to move down in the 7th.
They still have 139.

we got decent compensation... didn't care who we traded with or who they wanted .. we had need at CB and safety... some decent ones where there and we walked away. ... that is all I am saying... still a dumb move imo

You could have thrown a Dart at a wall full of names ?
What You don't have a plan b over Nassib? Who Are you?
I"m so tired of being mad at the Browns! I'm so tired of the sense of loss that is watching anything the Browns do all year long!
I just threw everything on the desk, all over the floor.
How can anyone have a love for these people who have ran this team for about 9 months! You can say they set this team back, how many years?
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.
