Yeah, at this point, it's just puzzling.

Just to be clear it was Shamarko Thomas, S, Syracuse.

No word yet on what we got.

Lol. Seriously, there's a LOT of new blood on this team. I'd have no problem stockpiling for next year to trade up into the money rounds.

me too. Funny thing is almost everyone admitted pre-draft that this was a really weak year. We pick up extra picks for next year, and that year looks solid. It seems solid to me.

Just laughing at everyone saying this is a bad draft so far.

Through 4 rounds, we've gotten:

Mingo, Josh Gordon, McFadden, Bess and a 2014 third rounder. Sounds like a great draft to me thus far. Still picks to go too. Quit being prototypical Cleveland Browns fans.

Totally agree. You have 2 proven guys in Gordon and Bess to boot. People slating this draft are doing it because of who is running the shebang more than because any of the picks are bad.

Typical Browns fans mentality. Like Banner said we won't fill all holes this year, we just won't. When the facts are right there, we got A LOT better in this draft. Gordon as a second rounder was an absolute steal. No doubt he would have been a first rounder in this draft.

It's clear the primary objective of the FO for this draft was to stockpile up as many picks as they could going forward. Keep on trading out, wait to get your players. I love it, it's a New England type of draft Philosophy.

The Colts didn't have a 5th, so we're not picking in the 5th, that's for sure.

Maybe Lombardi's board was three players deep and once they were of the board he had no idea who to draft so we just traded the picks away!

Browns' FO apparently really unimpressed with this years talent pool. We're getting Indy's 2014 4th round pick.

Colts get 2013 5th Rounder
Browns get 2014 kick in the nads

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Well...I guess we are pointing to NEXT YEAR. So I guess 5 wins and last place in the AFC North is what we are gonna get this year. I think I'll run out and buy season tickets.

Yep. Swapping a 5th round draft pick will definitely make or break a season. They just gave up!

Maybe Banner and Lombardi are smarter than I thought.

By trading away almost all the picks this year, they certainly can't be fired for draft their selections.

Building foundation for the future just like Banner said. Not a one year plan but a long term plan. This is how successful organizations do things. All the whining is pathetic. Look long term. Stock pile picks and maybe just maybe the QB of the future can be had next year. Don't think Weeden is the man. Teddy Bridgewater come on down.

Mayock likes the moves we're making.

Mayock is the analyst I trust the second most (Behind Bill Polian), for whatever that's worth.

I like the trades. The Browns were the youngest team in the NFL last season with quite a bit of young talent. let that talent develop and stock pile picks for next year. If the young talent does not pan out then they have the picks to replace them. If they do pan out they have the ammo to make some spashy moves for next year.

The best run organization in the NFL, the Patriots, have built their team on this philosophy.

Patriots do it, they're geniuses. We do it, we're idiots?

IDK.

I don't know if I like these trades for their actual purpose, or for the frickin' hilarious meltdowns I'm seeing.

a 1
a 2
two 3's
two 4's

and a year to evaluate needs.

Im ok with that. we cant evaluate anything last year because its hard to see through the Shurmur fog
