I will always remember him by the first play of OT throw that knocked the Steelers out of the playoffs.
Thank you Tim Tebow

Why does everyone get gleeful when the guy gets cut?
He does what anyone asks him to do as a player, and it's not his fault that ESPN shoves him down everyone's throats.
He's probably not cut out for this league. He could definitely find a role on the bottom of a roster somewhere and contribute, but at this point the circus he brings might make a team pause. Not his fault, really.

That surprises me. I would've thought that we would look past it, but I guess with only a one year contract that we signed him to, we couldn't afford to wait for him to heal up.
That could mean good things for Tori Gurley maybe

David Nelson...what a waste of a roster spot! The Browns should've signed Brandon Lloyd=a real veteran WR who can still play.

Because the sooner he is out of the league for good, the sooner we can stop hearing about him. SportsCenter just did 5 minutes on him getting cut, and just promised "continuing analysis of the developing story" going to a commercial break. For a third-string QB with a career completion percentage of 47%.
His fault? Nope. But nobody will miss his (lack of) QB ability, so it's time to stop hearing about him as a football player.

Lloyd has been a FA for almost 6 months. Three different teams have gotten rid of him in the last two years. He isn't injured, what other conclusion should I draw besides the teams in the NFL don't seem to think he can play?

214Dawg,
So they signed a guy (David Nelson) coming off a potential career ending injury?! That made a whole lot of sense! Brandon Llyod is a veteran WR who knows how to get open. Last year he caught 74 passes for 911 and 4 TDs. He could teach our young WRs a few tricks of the trade. Nope he can't help this team?!

I always liked lloyd as well but maybe there is behind the scene issues we don't know about that has made teams shy away from him.

Good God!
Brandon Lloyd is poison in a locker room.
His attitude stinks. The Pats cut him after a fairly productive year, and not one team tried to sign him. What does that tell you?
Further, he's 32 years old. I would rather develop guys who will be here long term than bring in a guy who could poison the atmosphere in the locker room, and who will be retired in a year or 2.

Yeah, I was surprised that the Patriots didn't resign him. But everywhere Lloyd goes he produces. His issues can't be any worse than our current WRs. What separates Llyod is that he can get open consistently.

Per this list Browns also released OLB Staples and Cole
Pats released OLB Cunningham and Redskins RB Keiland Williams.....2 noteworthy names

I don't understand that as well. Outside of the excessive media attention, what's not to like (understanding that his QB skills are at the low end)...

I don't know if that was insightful or not, but from what I can tell, he's still on the market right? I just checked and as of yesterday, he was. The Pats released him in March and he's not been picked up by anyone so, in truth, 32 teams don't agree with you. that doesn't make them right. But, it is saying something isn't it?

Probably not, But he's gotta be able to play FB or HB or TE.. at least you'd think so. he's tough as nails and a hell of an athlete. Might be too short for TE right?

If Owen Marecic gets a Super Bowl ring I give up.
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Harbaugh is his old coach from Stanford and absolutely loved him as a two way player while he was there. It makes sense that they would be the one to sign him and give him a shot.

Lloyd's stats 2003-2009 (four different teams) 2,370 yards (that's 29.3 yards per game). Is that included in the "everywhere"?'
Lloyd has been great the last couple years, but he is getting older (he is 32) and it says a lot about a guy when a team with a need like the Patriots let's him walk after a semi-productive season.

Is that Antoine Winfield? Browns should take a look, if he is at all healthy. I really like this guy, even if he's 30+++. Arrgh, no matter. I'm stoked to see who IS on the Browns first cut to 53, as probably at least 45 of them will stick around. Where can I go to find out who the Browns have kept on the 53?
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

I'm not sure they have announcd all the cuts yet. They have until 6pm to turn the cuts into the NFL, the announcement will come sometime after that. Not sure how long after that.
I think this is the official NFL Cut Tracker..
