Bad awareness by Jamea Franklin. If it's questionable you run a quick play.

Does any college team play defense?

Mizzou v Auburn
20-28 in the second quarter.

I was just asking my friend that.....is this great offense or bad defense?

Must be bad defense. That Mizzou guy was so open Weeden could have hit him.

LOL, I was just sitting here watching Auburn-Missouri and thinking of what manager Casey Stengel said to his expansion team Mets in 1962 ... "Can't anyone here play this game?".

Seriously

It's like Missouri got these WRs off of the basketball team.

And Auburn still isn't covering them, Mizzou 34 - 31.

I'm glad Luke Fickell is no longer the worst defensive coordinator in the NCAA. Would it really kill you to go 4-3 or even have your DE play contain? I really want to say Tre Mason is playing extremely well, but I think a 3 year old could cut up this defense.

No wonder drafts are a shot in the dark. How can you tell which players are good? Its like random chaos watching this game. Sorry I don't watch much college ball so I don't know if it is always like this.

Its very very entertaining. I just don't know how to evaluate talent in this atmosphere.

Jameis Winston would freaking destroy these defenses. The SEC might be better off praying OSU makes it in instead of them. At least then they can play the "what if" Game to give them some false sense of comfort.

It looks a lot like OSU-UM last week, only faster. The SEC is faster than all the other conferences, but just as bad at playing defense, apparently. That probably should have been in purple.

What has happened to football? Its become NBA-ized. Gack.

I'm convinced that a 1969 version of Mattel electric football could put up a better defense than these two teams.

I completely get the hit by Shazier being a penalty, but no penalty on that late hit for hitting someone with their back turned? Seems pretty biased imo.

The word bias enters the commentary before the first drive ends. Love it.

I don't care either way, and I don't think it will happen, but it will be hilarious if MSU wins this game.

No doubt. Feel free to punch OSU players while their back is turned, no flags will be thrown.

As for the SEC title game, lots of yards and NO defense. Jeez, it was like watching my nephew play Madden on Rookie difficulty.

MSU is a great team... I'm obviously hoping that OSU wins but would not be surprised if MSU beats us.

Several thoughts:

--Someone asked how would Ohio State stop Florida State. Good question. Now, I got one for you. How would Florida St stop Ohio State? This is the best offense I have ever seen at Ohio State. They can beat you in a myriad of ways. Yes, our defense is one of the worst we have fielded in my memory, but this offense is incredible and is perhaps the best offense in the entire country.

This alone worries me. Look, I am a huge Buckeye fan. The wife and kids as well. We live in the area, I work across the street from the main campus, and I am an adjunct professor there (office with a view of the Shoe - awesome) but what I saw Saturday scares me.

That central Michigan university was absolutely putrid on offense for the month (before the Game), heck they averaged a yard a carry over that span (TRich laughs at that). There is no excuse for our D to have looked so out of place and unprepared the entire game. Fickell was outmatched Saturday. The adage is to keep calling the same play until the D stops you, it is not to keep calling the same D until you actually stop the offense.

No worries about the offense, but the D better step it up quite a bit, quickly. If Michigan can do that to us, I shudder to think what a good team can do.

Not feeling better about our D.

How does a league celebrating its 100th season only recognize the 53 most recent championships?

Down only 7 and we get the ball to start the 2nd half.

That was a highway robbery.

Take note Browns fans. If you have truly great players, especially at QB, you're never out of it.

The Bucks D has to stop Michigan State's O. Limit them to field goals at least. I'm glad it's tied at 17-17.
