Don't worry it about man....there are hundreds of posters here, and I like most of them, but I really don't need the approval of them. Don't view it as slamming.....sure, some people target other posters simply because they don't like them or their views, or like the attention they get when they do....I've had hammers thrown my way in the past so I know what you are talking about. Just learn to deflect. The reality is you can't have solid debate with more than 10%-15% of the people who post on boards. A good percentage are just trolls who like to stir up crap.....we could name more than a few. Another percentage are....I don't want to say stupid.....maybe they just don't get it...and then you have a percentage who just oppose your views on a topic or two and dig in against you on just about anything you say.....then you have the rest. Some for and against, but at least open to honest debate. Going back, that is why I have always liked YTBF, EO, DawginDayton, Pitt, Mour, Attack, Willie...to mention a few of the early ones going back to the Couch days. They didn't agree with me much, but they weren't throwing hammers at the head. They just talked the issues for the most part with only a few barbs here and there....that's ok, I have been know to throw a few myself.. Let the others go to a degree and focus on the 20-30-40 who you can talk with from the past and try to find some new blood you can talk to now. We have some good new posters, even if I disagree with them from time to time.....heck, we disagree some on various issues, in which case, deep down, you know I am right.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn. GM Strong

I think it's a natural human reaction when you don't like something, to feel better about the next thing. And vise versa.
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

I was reading about this. Just great. LaDaveon Bell or whatever that big guy's name is and now LeGarrette Blount. Time to beef up our run defense, Dansby is going to be a big upgrade over D'Qwell in the 3-4 where we'll need thumper MLBs to take these guys down. Kinda wish we had another big guy next to him, someone bigger than Craig Robinson, at least for third and shorts

Apparently a while ago, because our defense is funny to watch at times, just plain painful at others... and that kinda describes Craig's career.

I don't think Haslam got 'stuck' with Banner. I think he just backed the wrong horse. I give him credit for cutting the cord quickly, but any way you look at it, it's concerning.
I backed them early, not out of enthusiasm, but more of a response to the outrage that was surrounding my wait-and-see approach.
I was a little leery of the draft, but understood the idea of punting down the road. Same for the Richardson trade, and the churning bottom of the the roster where we see street FA's playing that week.
I didn't like the leaks.
Someone early on (Django?) complained about them telling more than showing in terms of building a winner. He was correct. I felt Mangini was the same way - the idea and image of a winner taking precedence over the know-how to build one.
The firing of Chud put me firmly in the ranks of the skeptic. It wasn't so much Chud...I didn't love the hire and didn't care for his performance. But it was a panic move that clearly showed they were scrambling without a clue. You don't punt the season away and then turn around and fire the guy that you hired because you were bad.
If we don't get this one right, I'll start to wonder about Haslam, and that's when it really gets bad, because he doesn't get fired if he's awful.

What's killing me is how almost everyone slammed me for criticizing Ward, yet now they are saying it was a good move to replace him w/Whitner. I know you get slammed a lot but its the price you pay for doing the devil's advocate stuff
But I do fill some of the parameters in your gripe and I can only answer for my own opinions and posts. In doing so I'm not confronting you. I'm just stating how I am one who liked Ward and yet embraced the move after much thought. That there can be logic in that and not a personal vendetta against you.
I am sure there is a percentage that are hypocrites - I won't try to single out who is and who isn't. But I am also sure there are many who have a logical reason for their praise of the move even though they thought Ward was a good player for us. That's all. Nothing more.

TJ's the one I liked. I preferred keeping him over Alex Mack. Now that he's gone though, what is there to do? Complaining about it won't bring him back.
I just accept it and embrace the change. Loved TJ. He retweeted one of my twitter posts (28 years old and I'm twittering football players, lol). I'm excited for Whitner, but that's how I always am about new Browns.

Kind of my thought when I had heard... but maybe not since it's only a one-year contract. Obviously nothing in the aspect of long term.

If the Rams don't draft Watkins because they now have Kenny Britt then they are doing things way wrong.

Possible, or maybe they have prioritized their needs, Tackle, Safety, DB or even TE & wait for the 2nd or 3rd to take a WR in a talent rich draft. Hope that Britt buys in, meets his potential, & resign him long term, while still acquiring insurance in the later rounds. Just a cross between, a guess & wishful thinking.

They took Tavon Austin #8 overall last year so they've got the speed at WR.

Lol Washington... Washington signs Colt McCoy Colt has no chance to compete for Kirk as backup, so looks like he'll be cut by season start or become a third stringer...

I think they signed Colt in aspirations still of making a draft day trade to somebody - Also insurance in case of injuries.

A very short term life policy?
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I get the injury insurance part.
I seriously doubt that any team would trade for him on draft day. He's been available for a while now, so why would a team trade for him when they could have just signed him outright?

I don't know...Sh...errr stuff happens.
Possibly its like the 4th round and you got somebody who was planning on some QBs and to draft at least one but they all been out of their reach. So even 3rd round. They just go to plan B and trade the pick for Cousins???
Likely....What are the odds I or a dawg on the board says something will happen on draft draft day and they actually HAPPEN Just putting it out there that they can think about it knowing they got a backup to take his place.
just going along with the thread and its post on this subject. nothing more

Tell me about it. This one really sucks. Didn't they sign like Steve Smith too? So that's Torry Smith, Steve Smith, Dennis Pitta, Owen Daniels, and Dancing With The Stars Get Beat Up by the Stripper guy...........
That's gonna be a tough one

I don't think starting TE is a big concern/need right now. I'm all about Jordan getting the bulk of the reps... I just wish he had went elsewhere instead of a division rival.

Who said he would start. The question is whether or not Daniels is better or worse than the guy we signed? Heck, I can't even remember the chump's name. I do remember Daniels though. The guy is fast. He has very good hands. He makes big plays. He is a tough match-up for a SS, never mind a LBer.
I bet the same can't be said of the chump we acquired.
It really upsets me that Ozzy continues to kick our butts. He should have been our GM, daggonit.
