I will say if we don't take QB this year it's not the end of the world - we have Hoyer who has potential and there are two QBs that will be coming out next year that would be the first and second QB off the board this year... getting a second first rounder gives us ability to move around if we don't take a QB this year and want one next year.
or we take a QB at 9... who knows.

I'm thinking that was the case, unless we wanted to trade back all along. Either way, it doesn't really matter right now.
If it was Bortles, I'm sure we tried moving up to get him, but the Rams would have demanded two firsts maybe? Not worth it.

I think either it was Bortles, or we wanted to move down because we had 3 or 4 guys still on the board who are rated evenly, and could have one of them still left on board at 9 based on the teams picking. I think that the run on OT had to be seen. I wonder if Evans could drop to us? Interesting stuff here.

We've got more picks and this is a deep WR draft. Breathe in, breathe out. 
Todd McShay gave a nice little stat about 1st and 2nd round WRs in the last 5 years today. Close to 70% have been busts. So I wouldn't put so much stock in a WR, that he's a guarantee stud.
As for your "we better win this year" comment, wouldn't that still hold true if we picked Watkins? Meaning, the pressure to win would have been the same. Right?

A no brainier trade. The Bills gave a high first ( yes the Bills will still suck ) and a 4th. We will still get an elite player and if they didn't want a QB at 4 it makes the most sense to trade down.
