After the Quinn's and McCoy's of the worlds, great guys who just do the right thing, I don't really care what a guy does during the offseason, as long as he puts in the work when it's time.
And it seems that a lot of people are just assuming that because he goes out and drinks, that it automatically means he obviously doesn't care about his job, and that's just crazy...
I think this is more about the people that are around him, just like LeBron has always had his yes men, Johnny has always had his boys, and now he's got money and fame, and they want some of it..
Is he completely innocent? obviously not. But I'm not ganna crucify the guy because he parties.
He's got at least four years here to be crucified in so many different ways..
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

For me, at least, it isn't that he parties. It's the perception - and yes, this is probably very much media influenced and may not reflect reality - that partying is something that he does excessively. There are a lot of us folks that have known a lot of folks like that in our time, and those guys are usually the ones that go on to waste their immense talents because they can't handle the rest of their life; the party becomes more important than the other things.
None of us know the truth. Hopefully this is simply the result of media reporters blowing things out of proportion, but the sheer number of reports of him being like this over the course of several years easily backs up the idea that it isn't simply being overblown. As we've learned all too many times with other negative things with this team and our players... where there's smoke, there's fire. If that is the case, then the team needs to put some babysitters on him to make sure he stays out of trouble. If he can do that and if he has some work ethic, then he's got a solid chance.

The offset language is actually one of the more sensible things the owners have discovered ..... and, of course, the players don't like it.
I do like it, because I don't like a guy failing on one team, only to make more money than he would have by going to another team and getting paid twice.

peen...problem is, I'm sure the NFL has the most sophisticated testing available and it appears that they have the right to randomly test any player...if Johnny is tested and comes up dirty, the NFL will know what he was using the dollar bill for.

Looks like we were really smart to add a 2nd 1st round pick next year ..... because it looks like we might need to draft another QB.  There can only be so much smoke billowing before even the most ardent supporters have to admit that there certainly appears to be a problem here.
Even if this was meant as a joke, it would be incredibly inappropriate. I am definitely moving to the mindset that he has a real problem ..... either with understanding his image, substance abuse, or both.

As for drug testing Manziel...
1) I'm not even sure if they can. IIRC, he would've already taken his one recreational drug test, and I don't know that they can force more on him without him being in at least Stage One.
2) Odds are, it's out of his system.

Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel returned to Vegas for the Fourth of July weekend. Naturally, there are photos.
And one of them is leading to plenty of speculation.
Via BustedCoverage.com, one picture shows Manziel in a bathroom tightly rolling money. Rolled dollar bills are often used for snorting cocaine and cocaine is often snorted in the bathroom of a nightclub. (At least that’s what they did in the ’80s. I’ve heard.)
We won’t speculate on what Manziel planned to do with the money, and there’s no evidence in the photo of any cocaine or other banned substances. And if anyone knows of any reasons why Manziel would be tightly rolling money in a bathroom, feel free to drop them in the comments.
Players are tested for banned recreational drugs only once per year. If Manziel had his test during offseason workouts, he faces no further testing until April 20, 2015.
Unless, of course, the powers-that-be regard the photo as reasonable cause for asking Manziel to donate a cup of urine for insertion into a machine that will determine whether the urine contains evidence of any banned substances.
Meanwhile, it’s been less than two weeks since the Browns reportedly told Manziel to tone it down. Whatever Manziel planned to do with that dollar, he isn’t toning it down — especially since other photos posted at BustedCoverage.com show him kissing Playboy Social model Dallas Parks.
