Very much like Obamacare... the last thing our politicians want is for the people to actually have time to read and understand these things.

Recall that Hillary did her college thesis on Alinsky writings and Obama writes about him in his books.
Saul Alinsky died about 43 years ago, but his writings influenced those in political control of our nation today.......

Died: June 12, 1972, Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA

Education: University of Chicago

Spouse: Irene Alinsky

Books: Rules for Radicals, Reveille for Radicals
Anyone out there think that this stuff isn't happening today in the U.S. ?

All eight rules are currently in play

How to create a social state by Saul Alinsky:
There are eight levels of control that must be obtained before you are able to create a social state. The first is the most important.
1) Healthcare– Control healthcare and you control the people.

2) Poverty – Increase the Poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live.

3) Debt – Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.

4) Gun Control– Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government. That way you are able to create a police state.

5) Welfare – Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Housing, and Income).

6) Education – Take control of what people read and listen to – take control of what children learn in school.

7) Religion – Remove the belief in the God from the Government and schools.

8) Class Warfare – Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to take (Tax) the wealthy with the support of the poor.
Does any of this sound like what is happening to the United States ?

Alinsky merely simplified Vladimir Lenin's original scheme for world conquest by communism, under Russian rule. Stalin described his converts as "Useful Idiots."

The Useful Idiots have destroyed every nation in which they have seized power and control. It is presently happening at an alarming rate in the U.S.

"It is difficult to free fools from the chains they revere."

The truth is, they have no allegiance whatsoever to our country.

If you make the corporate tax rate 0%, they'll leave for a place that pays them to come.

If you make the minimum wage $3 an hour, they'll go where it's $1.

Their motive is maximum profit. No allegiance. No hometown discount. Nothing we can do is going to 'bring them back', unless we want to lower ourselves to the living conditions of third world hellholes.

Businesses aren't leaving because of the tax rate. They're leaving because they can pay a brown kid 35 cents a day at 100 hours a week and churn out all the smog the stacks can choke out. In lesser extremes, they're going places with minimal expansion, where they can operate without legislation or regulation.

We cannot compete with that, nor should we.

There's not much we can do in that regard. But pretending that we can woo them back certainly won't help. They don't care when they lay off you or I or cripple a town in Indiana. They. Do. Not. Care. And lowering the 0-12% corporate tax rate they pay won't change that.

We fell in love with a whore, and now we have to suffer the consequences of that.

Stop parroting the propaganda you hear and read.

We could completely eliminate the corporate tax rate tomorrow, and they're not coming back, and they're still leaving.

As a side note, and not directed at you...ever notice that the people who advocate free market capitalism are the first people to cry foul when they get the slightest taste of it?

While I appreciate your extreme negativity and your very poor outlook on human nature, your post is extremely over simplified.

Wages in China are rising. Heck Lenovo out of China just built a manufacturing facility in the United States. Shipping costs are rising and extremely volatile so manufacturing closer to your end consumer is being seen as more attractive. Regulations are changing in countries around the world. Political instability and uncertainty exists in a lot of the countries with low wages. The end consumer is shifting where countries like China are becoming a huge consumer as well as a manufacturer and exporter. Tax rates are ever changing. Import/export laws are ever changing. These things aren't just changing here, they are changing all over the world. With automation the very nature of manufacturing is even changing where you need fewer $1/hour brown kids and more expensive professional engineers and technicians...

It's like a puzzle with 1,000 pieces and when you build a manufacturing facility, you expect it to be in service and profitable for 50 plus years and it can be a billion dollar investment. Making the wrong decision can set a company back significantly or even drive them out of business... (Which is why many CEOs are actually worth $10 million a year by the way but that's a different discussion)

So when people make the simplistic argument that if we change the tax rate, this will happen... or if we change this one import law, that will happen... or even the argument that we will never compete with other countries low wages.. those arguments all crack me up because they greatly oversimplify a very complex business model that almost nobody on this board, including me, fully understands.. and very few in congress actually understand.

I didn't take PDR's post as overly negative.

Bottom line: you can distill any for profit company into one measure of performance: profit. We can talk about health care benefits, 401k match, employee retention benefits, but the people who own a company don't care if the company turnover is high as long as money is to be made. Industries like frack drilling in North Dakota are examples of companies making alot of money with high workforce turnover.

It wasn't always this way, and it's not always this way in other countries. But this push for pure unregulated capitalism has preached for decades that your success must weigh on the dollar. Your profits must increase quarter to quarter. You must be capable of winning right now or else you have lost.

I have seen more jobs lately too and that part is good! But I wonder if it's also because we have made it much cheaper on businesses to operate by screwing the worker. With Unions being neutered in many industries, workers working 100 hour weeks on salary, and benefits being cut; it's not hard to see where employers get the advantage.

Jobs indeed. the last 5 months were the best for job growth since the late 90's. Yes, late 90's rate of job growth.

Agreed on the employer advantage also. Productivity and corporate profits have soared the last 5 years while wages and benefits have been flat/trimmed. The retirement of the Boomers will be very interesting. Their Exodus was delayed by 401K crash. now with the market doubling, they are ready to roll out. Millions of tenured, high paying jobs will be vacated. Labor is cyclical. I hope workers can find some leverage.

Ultimately, the consumer and worker have to take a stand. In Capitalism, we vote with dollars and labor. We've been casting a lot of votes for China.

Common practice in argument building champions analyzing the source. A chain email which contains a bunch of hearsay is not a reputable source. I'll debate ideas but don't tell me your opinion is backed by a wingnut chain email.

Perfect example. What difference does it make how the opinion is disseminated? We are on a message board for crying out loud. As if we are some sort of reputable source(s) and not a bunch of wingnuts ourselves. What's the discernable difference between an internet site and a chain email?

Whether Alinsky actually wrote those (8) points...the debate should be whether our "leaders" are doing/implementing those (8) points or not.

Since that actual debate will be painful for certain posters, they choose to discredit the messenger and the source in an attempt to deflect the debate away from the cold, hard point being made.

Analyze the source? Sure...it's part of the debate. Put with guys like PDR, the effort stops at analyzing the source...the debate never makes its way to the light.

I'm supposed to pay attention to the point that Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are building a socialist state?

Obama chose to be a political leader, not a community organizer. There are a few lingering echoes of Alinsky’s work in Obama’s camp. The campaign’s Camp Obama training manual primarily was written by Harvard’s Marshall Ganz (who also had injected these principles into the Dean campaign). One of Alinsky’s organizers was the great Fred Ross, Sr. Ross, who trained Ganz, had written an iconic training manual. This was the blueprint for Camp Obama’s manual.

He and Reverend Wright are implementing a plan to turn America into a communist state. Step one of the plan is to shovel money at Bank of America, Citigroup, Wells Fargo, AIG, Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan, Sun Trust, State Street, U.S. Bancorp, PNC Financial Services, Capital One Financial Corp, American Express, Chase Home Finance, Countrywide, and GMAC Mortgage.

And there we have it folks...like taking candy from a baby.

Step 3 in the PDR handbook...after steps 1 & 2 fail...say something so absurd and off-topic as to totally derail any potential/pending debate.

There are (8) points to debate...you've read them...don't try to claim that you cannot figure out what you are supposed to do next.

Could be...however, heaven forbid if those facts actually got debated. Can't go there...must discredit the entire circle.

By your edict, darn near every website on the planet has flawed facts. You are one to use a great deal of links to support your point. But YOUR sources must be correct.

Those (8) points are uncomfortably on point and worthy of debate...but that would require looking at what's really going on around us...and that will lead to some uncomfortable conclusions.

PDR that is an excellent point about chain e-mails.

I hope no one ignores the basis of your post and tries to deflect the issue by discrediting you and shifting the topic

If we get distracted by these ^^^ tactics, we might forget to pass along the chain e-mail to 20 of our friends. We must pass this alarming e-mail along. Without our AR-15's we won't be able to knock-out Obama's Hydrogen Bombs just before they explode over the Heartland.

Dude, it's a chain e-mail that uses something written by Saul Alinsky (which wasn't actually written by Saul Alinsky) to try and claim that two of the biggest corporatists in American political history are trying to implement a socialist state.

You think that merits some kind of breakdown?

1-3, 5, 6 and 8 could be about George W. Bush. Should I start writing chain e-mails about how he's a Communist?

#4 doesn't make sense, as the Obama administration has expanded gun rights.

#7 is exactly how it should be. It's literally a part of our founding laws.

Why do you feel that this nonsense merits a thorough debate? Nobody's 'dodging' a debate. Ir's not worth taking seriously.

The rationality behind the Obama is a socialist debate left the building a long time ago. He has proven time and time again that he's a corporatist and a friend of the elite.

If a fact is a fact, then it is indisputable, no matter the source.

Now you can debate whether something is fact or opinion .... but if it is a fact, then it is, by definition, true.

12 Reasons Why Obama is One of the Best Presidents Ever

1. He is for The People. Say what you will about Barack Obama, but unlike the many presidents who preceded him, he cares about what is best for the greater good. He truly does represent The People.

2. He is for civil rights. He has consistently spoken on behalf of the disenfranchised, the underdog and the most controversial members of society -despite the fact that it was politically unpopular to do so at the time.

3. He is for one race – the human race. In just a few short years, Obama’s professional achievements and continued demonstration of equality and integrity have done wonders for race relations. America has never been more unified as a people than it has been under the direct leadership of Barack Obama.

4. He is for a healthcare system that brings hope and healing to the hurting. Obama’s healthcare plan has allowed uninsured Americans to reap the benefits of a universal healthcare system.

5. He is for the middle class.

6. He is for women’s rights.

7. He is for doing away with pomp and circumstance. Let’s be real – Obama is one cool cat.

8. He is for the environment. President Barack Obama has taken a forward thinking approach to creating a red, white, blue and green America.

9. He is for veterans.

10. He is for peace. Let us never forget that Barack Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009 -one of the greatest accomplishments any man or woman could hope to achieve in a lifetime.

11. He is for education.

Finally, reason 12 and the last sentence of the piece are not abbreviated because if you are already rolling on the floor then this reason will keep you there. I repeat – this is not a joke.

12. He is for entertaining the masses. If we have to listen to a president yakitty-yak about this or that for another four years, we might as well pick one with charisma and charm. If you can’t find anything else appealing about Obama, you can’t deny the fact that the guy is an amazing speaker with wit, fantastic comedic timing and an incredible intellect. In fact, I will go so far as to say that when the man does finally retire from politics, he has a rewarding and lucrative job as a stand up comic awaiting him if he so chooses. When’s the last time you heard a president joke about drinking beer, belt out Al Green with poise and precision at a moment’s notice and admit to watching the Kardashians?

If these 12 reasons aren’t enough to convince that president Obama is one of the best presidents ever, then you are not thinking objectively!

Nope, you're just supposed to pay attention, which sadly enough, many do not. (I know you do so, while we may not always agree, I do respect your opinions)... And while I don't put a lot of credence into chain emails either, those who dare to question the norm are usually marginalized and discredited as crack pots in the beginning... But with all of the people out there predicting doom and gloom and how this country is going to collapse for any of 10 different reasons, some of them will be right, the question is only, which ones.

I do always love the flippant comments like the one above about somebody making us into a socialist state as if that's absolutely impossible. I'm not sure what we are becoming but it's hard to argue that we are changing into something which is vastly different than what we used to be.. (and no, it's absolutely NOT just Hillary and Obama or the democrats)... and I suppose that just like every great nation that has fallen, people will scoff at the idea and believe it can't happen to them until it actually does.

I definitely agree with you.

It's not one party or one president as much as people wish to claim it is. It's been an ongoing metamorphosis that really isn't furthering the nations cause.

The problem is the middle class are the one's being left out. It seems the rich gain and the impoverished about break even. But the middle class seems to be going backwards with rising food costs and fuel prices among many other things combined with stagnant wages.

The problem seem to be that so many seem to buy into the myth that it's one side or the other causing these things.

Who Thinks President Obama Will Be Impeached? The White House

http://news.yahoo.com/thinks-president-obama-impeached-white-house-211332576.html

Don't dismiss the possibility of the House of Representatives bringing articles of impeachment against President Obama, senior White House adviser Dan Pfeiffer said today.

"I think a lot of people in this town laugh that off," Pfeiffer said at a breaking with reporters in Washington hosted by the Christian Science Monitor. "I would not discount that possibility. I think that Speaker [John] Boehner, by going down this path of this lawsuit, has opened the door to Republicans possibly considering impeachment at some point in the future."

He went on to say that the executive actions being considered by the White House on immigration would probably “up the likelihood” of impeachment, making the point that lawmakers such as Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, already have said the president is violating the law with his unilateral moves on immigration.

Pfeiffer noted that the House is set to file a formal lawsuit next week against the president over his executive actions. While the idea of impeachment is only being discussed by the likes of Sarah Palin -– and very few elected lawmakers –- that could change.

He went on to say that the White House views the lawsuit as “validation” of its “year of action” strategy, saying of executive actions: “If they were small-ball, the Republicans would not be suing over them.”

Asked whether impeachment would be good for the president, Pfeiffer said: “No, I don’t think so.”

Boehner, who has publicly ruled out impeachment, responded in a statement through his spokesman.

"We have a humanitarian crisis at our border, and the White House is making matters worse with inattention and mixed signals,” Boehner spokesman Michael Steel said in a statement. “It is telling, and sad, that a senior White House official is focused on political games, rather than helping these kids and securing the border."

That joke won't be impeached. We will all be "racist" then...

This administration is one of the worst ever. Beginning to narrow it down from top three to top two. I'm sure before his term / catastrophe ends, I may be convinced he is and was the worst president ever.

We have a 238 year sample set on the collapse-predictors. Clearly, most will be wrong about the reason. The steam locomotive invasion and Cherokee uprising are looking more and more unlikely. Ozone is out, CO2 is in.

In terms of timeframe, a large number of those that responded "during my lifetime" have been eliminated. Many, many more are running out of time. Yet, the majority of predictors still cling to "very soon."

The only ones holding claim to validation are those that have lived and died proclaiming "Not in my lifetime."

So back to Obama being the worst president crap.

I have a question for everybody who thinks Obama is the worst, and who sighted "leadership" as one reason.

Do you even know what leadership is? Have you ever been in a leadership position? Of THAT magnitude?

Cause I keep hearing leadership problems, yet nobody can ever tell me where he has failed in that category.

The fact is, just because y'all disagree with his policies doesn't mean he lacks leadership. Part of being a leader is making unpopular decisions with the intent to make the company/country better. Now, we can debate whether his direction is what's best for the country. Yes, that's debatable. But leadership is one quality he doesn't lack.

Nancy on the border crisis:
Nancy Pelosi: Moses Was a Refugee Too, Just Like Baby Jesus

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi doubled down on her comments that Americans should view the flood of children crossing the border while claiming refugee status just like baby Jesus.
Pelosi reminded reporters that it was the National Conference of Catholic Bishops that used the baby Jesus analogy. She then suggested that if Moses hadn’t have been accepted by the Egyptians, then there wouldn’t be the Ten Commandments.

“You could even speak about, if it’s your tradition, Moses,” she said. “What would we do if Moses had not been accepted by the pharaoh's family? We wouldn’t have the Ten Commandments for starters.”

It is good to see the Obama team's take on the border fiasco.

That joke won't be impeached. We will all be "racist" then...

This administration is one of the worst ever. Beginning to narrow it down from top three to top two. I'm sure before his term / catastrophe ends, I may be convinced he is and was the worst president ever.

Please, you guys keep crying that we will call you racist, which is undercover racism. You already said you don't like the president, so why bring up that you might be considered racist? You guys are just as much of the problem as others crying racism all the time.

Obama won't get impeach. Not only does he not deserve it, but if he did anything illegal, he would've ALREADY gone through the process of impeachment.

It's another scare tactic from you extreme right wingers to try and fear the populace into thinking this guy is some type of demon.

I think he's the worst president in our nation's history, and fail to see how it's 'crap'.

Nor do I think it's unfounded to say he lacks leadership.

I know a lot of the guys around here present bad arguments for it, but that doesn't mean it's not true.

For crying out loud, his signature achievement is a massive corporate subsidy. That thing doesn't address the problem. It's a blatant money grab.

What has he "led" on? Anytime something happens that may make him look bad, we get "Well, I heard about it on the evening news, just like most folks."

Where has he led? By saying about the IRS scandal "it was some low level minions from cincy."? Did he lead concerning Benghazi? Has he lead concerning illegals?

The list goes on and on. I'm curious: Where has O been a leader?

I think it's absolute trash. Not one person has listed a valid reason why he lacks leadership. Sorry but a lot of these posters sound like sheep. Follow the herd.

I just find it funny how Obama has ruined everything, so they say, yet no politician has ever offered a plan on how THEY would fix this so called problem.

I mean,,, the worst president in US HISTORY got voted in...twice. Sounds like he not the worst after all.

I just can't agree with most on this board. They say one thing, yet the opposite happens. They say eh majority of Americans hate Obama, yet the majority of Americans voted for him over McCain and Romney. They say he's a Kenyan Muslim commy, yet he's a half white, Christian guy who major corporations have in their back pocket.

I've already said Obama isn't nowhere near the best. But he ain't the worst. And with all the BS that people make up about him, it's hard for me to NOT defend him. Cause most people who hate Obama talk out the side of their necks.

That's just how I feel.

I'll always say that Reagan is the worst President ever, but I think Obama is challenging Carter/Bush Jr. for that second spot. That said, I don't think he's that bad of a leader.

Lead WHAT for Benghazi? Have you ever been to the Middle East? They ABSOLUTELY will get mad over a video and kill someone. Hell, the guy who took, responsibility for he attacks SAID it was because the video. Cause closed. What else do you want?

He IRS? There an investigation going on right now! You wanna know why I believe he majoriy of you are hypocrites? Y'all complain that he takes everything Ito his own hands, then turn around and say he isn't involved enough. You guys have no idea what you freaking want, which is why the majority of Americans think conservatives and tea pary members are jokes. Including myself.

The illegal immigration is the ONLY event I can say he needs to do more, but I'm willing to let the situation play outl because we don't know the thought process of the White House or congress right now.
