well come on, how far did they go out of their way to avoid hoyer?

I think it's enough to say, they took a different direction.

it could be money also. Cassell hasn't had recent success and neither has McGowen.. so their dollars may be lower than what hoyer is looking for,,,

Another thing is, hoyer isn't available yet. let's talk after tuesday.

Damon, it's McClown! How many times do I have to say this?? willynilly

Even though john Hughes is still under contract I would love to see the Browns extend him

I would agree, and at this point, I'd guess he's not much money.

Brian Hartline is visiting the Texans today; a deal with them is now a real possibility.

And....

WR Brian Hartline is visiting the #Texans today, per @RosenhausSports. A deal is possible (while Andre Johnson hangs in limbo)

Possibly an effort to create more leverage over the Browns in order to increase $$ in a contract?

He'd be a solid signing for the Browns.

Plus, their QB situation is only marginally better than ours.

Houston is a terrible place for weather IMO. 105° and 95% humidity during training camp.

No thanks ... But he is use to the humidity of Miami...

It also says a possibility... He also had a possibility to sign with Cleveland or Chicago.

Wherever he signs, he's using all the visits to drive the final price..

Anyone in his position who wouldn't explore all of the options afforded him I would consider a fool.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

And then there's this too.....Hopefully it works out to sign Hartline.

@LaneAdkins
Possibly the worst case scenario for the Browns in their attempt to secure WR Brian Hardline is his agent Drew Rosenhaus

LA - theOBR
@LaneAdkins
Rosenhaus will drive his guy, the price and patience, especially at WR with Josh Gordon in mind

LA - theOBR
@LaneAdkins
Feelin is he will attempt to push away his clients from CLE due to various discussions with org this past year

Punish the orginization for the stupidity of the player, nice...

Usually I only hate Rosenhaus when I hear him speak..

Hartline doesnt want to play here, hell with him. Personally, I would probably just go all in this year, trade for Marshall and Johnson. Get big Vince to fill the nose for run plays only. I want to be talking homefield advantage come December. enough with the 5 year plans and building for the future. we have enough of a core to make a run.

From the horses mouth:

And now the Patriots hat get tossed in the ring of potential bidders....

@MaryKayCabot
The #Patriots are also interested in Brian Hartline. He's taking his physical right now w/ #Texans. #Browns still in the running.

I don't think it's him at all, his agent hates us now and doesn't want to deal with us, so if he can get a comparative, or maybe not even as good of a deal somewhere else, he will steer him that way...

I find it interesting. Heartline doesn't want to be here because he is unsure of management stability. How long was Trestman in Chicago? Heartline didn't know the situation until he interviewed? Sounds like agent-spin!!

It could be that he is pissed that one our coaches (who has since been fired) was with Gordon when he violated the NFL's policy.

Also suspending Gordon, even if warrented, for the last game effects Gordons contract, which effects Rosenhaus' money making abilities..

Oakland planning to host Suh

Truthfully, I'd love to have Suh, but his dirty side and etc couldn't make Oakland more the best fit for Suh lol.

I understood. I can't believe the other person really tweeted it!

It would be nice if Farmer can sign Austin along with Heartline. Browns receivers: Austin; Benjamin; Gabriel; Hawkins; Heartline. This is not a bad group to bring a rookie into if drafted.

Statistically you will find better, but as far as work ethic and route running good mentors. Look how quickly Gabriel become productive. Not sure that would have happen two years ago.

If Suh was a Brown and as a fan, dirty? I see nothing! It looked good to me...yea it did!!!

Honestly, I think Pettine's "play like Brown" is exactly what Suh brings. I am not sure Browns want that salary. Browns need more guys with a mean streak.

guy isnt even allowed to talk to teams and they are going went out of their way to not sign him? rofl rofl

if farmer wants nothing to do with him he should have cut him. but naw. just one more way farmer is screwing with the players lol.

Two teams that need QBs, one that had Hoyer, have said, "Nope. We're good." They effectively took themselves out of the QB market (not just Hoyer, but all the other crap as well) because there is nothing good.

A bunch of people are going to freak out again, but I don't think those guys were such great route runners. I think it had way more to do w/scheme.

And no, I am not totally discounting the receivers. I am just saying I didn't see too many great examples of route running. What I did see was plenty of great route designs.

You seemingly are too joyful that Hoyer isn't getting attention.

That seems weird.

No joy at all. Just interested in him because he was a our former QB.

I don't mind poking at people on here that think he is the bee's knee.

I hope we don't have a starting lineup of Miles Austin and Hartline...that puts zero fear into any defensive scheme against us...We definitely need a playmaker with big play flair.
