It is telling that two teams, that need QBs desperately, went out of their way to not sign Brian Hoyer. well come on, how far did they go out of their way to avoid hoyer? I think it's enough to say, they took a different direction. it could be money also. Cassell hasn't had recent success and neither has McGowen.. so their dollars may be lower than what hoyer is looking for,,, Another thing is, hoyer isn't available yet. let's talk after tuesday. Damon, it's McClown! How many times do I have to say this??

Even though john Hughes is still under contract I would love to see the Browns extend him I would agree, and at this point, I'd guess he's not much money.
At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

Possibly an effort to create more leverage over the Browns in order to increase $$ in a contract?

Hartline doesnt want to play here, hell with him. Personally, I would probably just go all in this year, trade for Marshall and Johnson. Get big Vince to fill the nose for run plays only. I want to be talking homefield advantage come December. enough with the 5 year plans and building for the future. we have enough of a core to make a run.

Browns receivers: Austin; Benjamin; Gabriel; Hawkins; Heartline. This is not a bad group to bring a rookie into if drafted. Statistically you will find better, but as far as work ethic and route running good mentors. Look how quickly Gabriel become productive. Not sure that would have happen two years ago.

A bunch of people are going to freak out again, but I don't think those guys were such great route runners. I think it had way more to do w/scheme. And no, I am not totally discounting the receivers. I am just saying I didn't see too many great examples of route running. What I did see was plenty of great route designs.

I hope we don't have a starting lineup of Miles Austin and Hartline...that puts zero fear into any defensive scheme against us...We definitely need a playmaker with big play flair.
