Pit...you care to debate Hoyer's "sucktitude"...

I don't believe Mamziel would have made a difference. The coaching staff was hoping that Hoyer would bounce back to where THEY wouldn't have to find out if JFF would make a difference. But the sucktitude of Hoyer forced them into trying anything at their disposal. You're really preaching to the choir in a way here. In some ways not so much. I thought Manziel sucked when he played. There's really no debating that. The only problem comes down to the fact that the way Hoyer was playing, he would lose too. Once Hoyer completely fell apart, they were willing to try anything, and they did.
