Wow!! Hopefully we don't lose Smith for more than a game. He straight up bitch-slapped Crowder...

So sick of the Boston team.
Cleveland is tired of the constant push in the back.

This is getting rediculous. Are we playing basketball or having an MMA fight?

Did Olynyk even have a foul called on his attempt to rip off Love's arm?
I do think that the Cavaliers are tired of the cheap shots that they have taken in this game, (and series) but they have to play smart and not lose guys for future games.

Yeah, they called a foul, but he threw up his hands in protest, which was pretty ridiculous.

I thought for a moment there the Cavs woke up the Leprecon of Championships past but we don't have a Larry Bird or Bill Russell anymore ...

Did Olynyk even have a foul called on his attempt to rip off Love's arm? He did get a foul called and then he promptly went down to the other end and shoved one of our guys in the chest while he was taking a jumper....

These national broadcasts are complete blather by these so called announcers. Tirico is so awful. How did THAT guy get MNF? He's so bad. When his voice cracks during his "excited" voice, it's literally nails on a chalkboard. But yeah, they're openly favoring Boston at this point. Not even hiding it.

I thought it was funny how Hubie commented on Mozgov pushing in the back on a rebound when it was 50/50 at best yet Boston does it every play.

I m just amazed that clear fouls are called jump balls when the Cavaliers get them, but if the Cavaliers breathe on a Celtic, they get called for a foul.
Lotta home floor calls going on here. Pretty bad shooting by the Cavaliers too ...... almost like they want to lose this game so that they can lose Smith for a game against the Celtics rather than the Bulls.

Plus gives Love another game off before Chicago.

LeBron is tired. All shots are flat. And Jerebko is straight body checking him and elbowing him the ribs. I can't believe they didn't call anything on the last layup LeBron made.

Is there an athlete that gets forced on us (in commercials/ads) more than Blake Grifin? Jeebus Christ, he's terrible in every commercial. Dial it back.

Man, are these officials even still awake? Guy pushes the ball out of Lebron's hands on the inbound, from behind, 2 feet out of bounds and the Celtics get the ball. Ridiculous. This officiating crew should not get another playoff game if they get games based on merit ..... because they have no merit.

Glad I read the last 50 or so posts. They clarified a few things for me.
First - this is the first game I watched basically buzzer to buzzer this year. With that thought in mind: During the game, I kept wondering if this was what nba basketball has become? Or is this hockey without skates but with more scoring?

Arch, it was baaaaad.
One of the worst ref'ed games ever. The NBA can't stand the darling Celtics got beat bad.
Screw you ESPN for the "well look at all the Boston championships anyway"
We're trying to throw the ball downfield and he checked the ball down to Trent Richardson and the Indians on the choice.

I had to put it on mute. That was not a pleasant game to watch or listen to. I hope the events of this game don't hurt the Cavs too badly going forward.

And for the record - we had a 10 year old kid here during the game. He's a HUGE Cav's fan. After Perkins knocked that guy down I said "Cade - does Perkins play much?"
He said "not really." So in my head I'm thinking maybe Blatt put him in with some orders to play rough - maybe not to get revenge, but just to show the Celtics "we can do that too."

spread was 7.5 ... the refs did everything in their power to get the game under that threshold ... that was pretty bad
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Actually, Blake is great in those commercials. He definitely has a good comedic feel.
Unfortunately for Clipper fans, as a player he is missing that extra gear, both mentally and physically, to capitalize on his physical gifts. I wonder how bad he wants it. You have to be ultra competitive. I don't see that in him.

I am blown away by the number of analysts and broadcasters that are commenting on the Olynyk play that he didn't do it on purpose.

That's just "Celtics Basketball"
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

I must reiterate - this was the first game I've watched buzzer to buzzer this year - but I'm amazed at the pushing Olynyk did just prior to the injury. It's not basketball if you're allowed to hit someone like a pulling guard does in football and there's no foul.

I am blown away by the number of analysts and broadcasters that are commenting on the Olynyk play that he didn't do it on purpose. Me too. He looked like a wrestler dragging a guy down by his arm. Now maybe he didn't mean to injure him, but he did do his best to hurt him. I am still mad as can be over that call where the Celtics player went out of bounds on the inbounds play, knocked the ball out of Lebron's hands from behind, and then Boston got the ball as the result. I hope that the officials get a huge play for missing that one, because that was inexcusable. (and the Boston player does as well) Boston plays hard, and they also play ... let's say .... to the edge of the rules. I thought that 2 Boston fouls that were somehow called jump balls instead just inexcusable. However, on the bright side, the Cavaliers still beat the Celtics, sweeping them, and sending them into the off-season on their home floor.
