Hey all - thought it might be fun to get a thread going on what people think will happen day 1 of the draft. Not full mocks, we've all seen tons of those by now, but rather things you think will happen. Please make sure you include in your list, where you think Mariota will end up.

I have a few predictions:
1) Browns trade twice - up for Leonard Williams (giving up 12/43) and down from 19 and taking Eddie Goldman (picking up a late 2nd)
2) None of Randy Gregory, Shane Ray or La'el Collins are taken in round 1
3) OL, CB, and WR make up more than 50% of the picks in round 1
4) Surprise first rounders are Philip Dorsett and Damarius Randall
5) Bud Dupree is taken well before expected (top 10).
6) Mariota is a Charger by the end of the day and Rivers is a Titan.

I predict if I think about this too much more my head is going to explode. willynilly What's gonna happen with our Brownies? Are they gonna trade up? Yes? No? No idea.

I do know that for most football fans draft day is just as good as Christmas morning was when we were kids. EXCITING!

I'm going to be recording the draft and going to bed at my usual time (5 PM). This way I can stick to my sleep schedule (important), FF through all the ick in the show and get to the good stuff when I awaken.

- our attempts to move up are thwarted, so we "settle" for a DL in the 1st
- Brandon Perrimen is a Brown at this time tomorrow
- Steelers draft Landon Collins
- Kevin White and Amare Cooper both go in the top 6

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

- the Browns end the draft with the same QB options
- they draft Malcolm Brown (RB-Texas) but not Malcom Brown (DT-Texas)
- they draft both Perriman (WR-UCF) and Perryman (ILB-Miami)

This years' draft is very difficult to speculate upon. Will we see trades? There may be none...or a ton. My crystal ball needs a tuneup...

So suddenly there are many rumors that we'll have Sam Bradford by the end of the day

Hopefully we will stop the QB maddness and stick with what we have for now other than picking up a surprise late round QB with some potential or possibility. The next Tom Brady gawd willing. willynilly

The Browns have 10 picks......The Browns won't have 10 drafted players at end of draft.

(Some deep thought here, folks.)

If we trade #12 straight up for Sam Bradford that would be idiotic IMO

The ONLY way I'd trade #12 for Bradford is if he signs an extension (that is performance based) and we received something else

My first post was actually a goof, here's one I think might actually happen;

Winston and Mariota go first and second, then Jax takes Fowler
Browns trade with Oakland for Leonard Williams

Much to my dismay, I'm predicting Mariota being a Cleveland Brown tonight at the expense that will make all our stomachs upset (unless you're pimping MM.)

I agreed with this train of thought until the past day or so ... I actually don't think he'll be a Brown anymore.

I'd say there's a better chance Sam Bradford is

I predict a few people will be optimistic.

Some people will wait and see.

A few will claim were only going to win 2 games.

A small group will bash Farmer.

At least one person will call Haslam a liar and a cheat.

Editors Note: All of this will happen regardless of what happens during the draft..

I predict we'll make a move that will come off as the story of the draft, like we did last year twice (not taking Watkins and then taking Manziel). Everyone will call us out on it too by saying, "the Browns like to make spectacular moves in the first round, but their choices never work out and they'll be doing this again next year." And that will happen even if they choices were right.

I hope we stay at 12 and 19, maybe even move down a bit if possible, and just add depth to both lines mostly. I want a DT, though probably not Shelton. I want a pass rusher, which I'd be okay with Ray (he's got a lot to prove and that could be in the 3rd round). I want some depth on the O-line that can eventually take the place of Mack. And I want a playmaking wideout.

Cleveland gives up all our picks this year to the Eagles for Sam Bradford, who tears his ACL while doing a camera interview from his home.

FYI - I am kidding......

I wouldn't be surprised. It's our move.

I predict we draft a 1st round RB and people here will wonder why, despite the fact that Crow and West are overrated.

If we trade for Sam Bradford and give up a first round pick, Farmer should be fired on the spot.

We should trade down and draft Randy Gregory, Shane Ray, Dorial Green Beckham, J. Collins.

We can get them on the cheap.

If we draft a RB in round 1...I may die lol instead of blowing it on another RB, I'd TRY to obtain a substantially better QB...or even filling those greater needs like pass rush OLB, DT, WR, TE, RT, C etc

It's really not when you have no passing game to speak of.

4.0 is really blah if that's what we are going to hang our hat on.

First Down!

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

The Browns trade up with the Raiders for Mariotta (12 and 19).
The Browns then spend the next 2/3 round picks on D.
We draft a WR in the 4/5 round.

I don't like MM, and I don't think we will give the Titans what they want, but if he makes it past 2 I bet we move to get him. I'm not 100% sold on him, but I think Farmer is....we will see.

Stick with what we have? What do we have? A second string QB in McCown who has lost twice as many games as he's won. And a tiny little run first QB that couldn't stay healthy for more than two games and is coming off a stint in rehab?

Fact is we have nothing at the QB position right now. So sticking with what we have means sticking with not much at all. The cupboard is bare. That doesn't mean we should trade the sun, moon and stars to move up. But it does mean they better find SOMEONE to play the position this year. Trade for Rivers, trade for Cousins, trade for SOMEONE if they aren't going to draft one.
