Its your call, but I wouldn't group Cruz with Trump. He may not be your cup of tea, which is fine, but he is brilliant. Alan Dershowitz said he was the brightest student he ever had at Harvard Law. Cruz would slice and dice Clinton in a head-to-head debate.
I kind of like the Trump circus because it's entertaining. He tells it like it is.
But I can't see him winning. Can you see him trying to do relations with foreign leaders? That would be an embarrassment. He's like a child who has a tantrum when anyone disagrees with him.

Trump is Trump, Cruz comes across as creepy and long ago left sensibility to chase the chain e-mail vote. Walker also favors attention by way of being bombastic, which doesn't get you out of the back half of the primaries. Carson is fishing for speaking gigs. Fiorina and Rubio could certainly pose a threat in a general election, but it's doubtful they'll be able to raise the amount of money that Bush can, which is the name of the game in primary season.
Can someone tell me how Cruz is 'creepy'? I'm not seeing it.
There's less of a "I'd like to have a beer with that guy" vibe and more of a "this guy might make lampshades out of my skin" vibe. For better or worse (and it's worse), likability is a major factor in presidential elections. Quite possibly more important than actual policy stances. Cruz has the charisma of a toad. There's just a creepy uncle vibe to him. And this is an area where I think the GOP should attack. Clinton has a similar unlikability. There's just something off about her. I'd expect a Bush/Fiorina or Rubio/Fiorina ticket from the GOP, and I think the latter is the better option to win, but the former is more likely. The "fresh face" option is a better one than Dynasty R vs. Dynasty D.
Sorry I don't see it. To me he sounds like he believes what he says and will stand behind it. Don't get the feeling of creepiness at all.
Well a lot of people must agree with you because he has moved into the number 2 spot since the debate.
The number two spot of what? 13% favorablity amongst .0000001% of the population? Where is the validity of using that as a guide stick? Look who's ahead of him. Most polls, especially primary season ones, remind me of Calvin & Hobbes, where Calvin recites polling data of what household children 6-12 think of Dad's job performance. There are a long list of primary candidates who led at this stage who had little chance. Their hype was inflated on phone calls made to 250 people who didn't bother to hang up when they heard a machine on the other end. Jesse Jackson, Howard Dean, Herman Cain, Rick Santorum, etc. Silly season is fun, but don't read too much into the numbers.
Trump, in response to Fiorina’s frequent criticism, told ABC’s “This Week” that she “doesn't discuss the fact that her tenure at Hewlett Packard was a disaster.”
Trump on Sunday also professed his love for women and said he would be their best advocate if elected president, dismissing the firestorm of his own making that has consumed the Republican presidential campaign.
a lot of these guys aren't going over well with women voters.
especially Rubio. dude is getting especially blasted. no abortion even in rape or incest?
good luck with that. y'all can argue with me all y'all want about rubio's stance, but i'm not a woman.
the GOP can't try to say they don't have a war against women, but then have candidates with those type of view points. there's a reason the GOP gets less and less women votes every election it seems like.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
Which is worse? Woman voting on a single issue while the Democrats destroy this Nation or voting for the Nation, knowing no one can take away their abortion rights regardless of what the President thinks.
Dems are going to win unless somebody emerges from the republican party with an actual plan to address the actual issues that more people care about.
Bernie Sanders tweeted after the debate.. It's over. Not one word about economic inequality, climate change, Citizens United or student debt. That's why the Rs are so out of touch. .... and he's right. Now I know you can't touch every topic in every debate, especially with 10 people on stage, but one would think they would have gone after the most important issues first and they simply did not.
The issues republicans are pushing, immigration, repealing Obamacare, these things resonate with their hardcore base but NOBODY else... apparently they spent a lot of time talking about the economy.. newsflash, the economy is doing much better and is not likely to be a major issue in this election..... they aren't talking about gun violence or corporate welfare or income gaps or ANYTHING that the majority of people seem to view as big problems to fix...
i know people are gonna grown when i bring this up, but what about that half ass answer before break to scott walker about the black lives matter movement?
that really matters to people, race relations overall right now.
but the whole time was spent talking about abortion, religious freedom, and going to war in the middle east.
basically nothing but cheerleading to the base.
i really hope the next few debates hit on some of the main issues. cause right now the GOP sounds like they care more about israel and the middle east than they do their own citizens.
doesn't sound very patriotic to me, especially coming from the party that claims to be the most patriotic.

You know what Swish, I support the BLM movement because the injustices have gone on far too long; but if they interrupt another Bernie event, I'm going to let them know exactly what I think of them. They need to show up to somebody's event that DOESN'T think black lives matter...
With the field the Democrats have put up, they are lucky we at least put up a Human to beat them. Losing to a Pony would really be embarrassing!

What daring! What outrageousness! What insolence! What arrogance! ... I salute you.
I am telling you now, ahead of the event, there is coming a wave to wash away the Demoncrats and lift up the Republicans to victory. That wave has been known to you since the days of Richard Nixon, they are not on the television or on the radio, they do not carry signs of protest in the streets or bring attention to themselves. They are quiet and their numbers are great. They are known as the Silent Majority!
Once they cast their vote and grant us the blessings of a Republican House, Republican Senate and a Republican President everything will become clear...
Now you will know why you are afraid of the dark. Now you will learn why you fear the night.

I think the interruption of the Sanders event may actually be a net positive for Sanders as it will allow for him to demonstrate his strong track record on race relations. He is drew huge crowds over the weekend with 15,000 in Seattle on Saturday, 28,000 on Sunday in Portland, and an event tonight (Monday) in Los Angeles.

And he hired a Black Press secretary. That's a very important position.
But, BLM and other Civil Rights Movements are not really connected to each other. I wouldn't disown a movement because a few people portrayed them very badly. And they did, but it's brought Bernie a lot more attention and didn't hurt him in the long run.

you don't have to tell me that bro. i was the first one on this board to put them on blast for shoving bernie out the way.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
What exactly is their motivation here? Is this something to do with Sanders personally, or is he just the most visible name with the least security? Have they done this to other primary candidates?
And it IS stupid to try to gain attention for your cause by mistreating someone who's been in your corner longer than you've been alive.
"ign'ance on parade"....
smdh.
I've actually changed my mind. Before this Bernie Sanders has been associating solutions to racism with economic packages. The BLM movement argues that it's much deeper than that. They said police encounters, voting right restrictions, and the war on drugs are problems that affect them that do not have economic solutions... And Bernie listened. Bernie Sanders released a very detailed and comprehensive platform to how racism will be addressed under his watch.
Yes, they were rude, tactless, and disrespectful in their attempts to be heard, but them being heard is more important than how they did it.

Wait there are more women born than men. So by stopping abortion we would be stopping the murdering of women, yet women are against this I don't know about all of you but I know many women who are against abortion.

WTF indeed. His last line is so true though. If the Rebplucan get the house, the senate, and the White House we will be afraid of the dark. They'll drive this country into a new dark age.
