I was beyond shocked when Oakland picked him up... who's going to shock me now? Or was Oakland TRich's last NFL stint?

Fred Jackson? Wow, he just broke a 50 or 60 yd. run against the Steelers over the weekend.

That might be the per carry average for some teams against the Steelers this year.

I would resign Trent Richardson just so to make it that we got a first for a player and then got him back a year later as a free agent. Hell there would literally be no down side lol. get him for league min.

What if we ended up seeing Trent Richardson, and Robert Griffin the Third both in Browns uniforms, we'd be unstoppable according to pre-draft speculation, but who knows if it would increase the win total.

Yes, waivers is 3 days. I don't think you can sign players to the PS until after the final cuts. It doesn't even make sense to sign players to that squad until after you have the full list of players cut, so for Wynn, his waiver period is more like 12 days.

Just my opinion here: I think the kid is valued by us but I am not so sure he is going to hold much value around the league, but as they say, it only takes 1 team to like a player, so who knows? Either way, if he gets signed, I think we are losing more of a fan favorite then a player who is going to make a large impact in the league.

I can see the coaches selecting one of Jennings, Lenz, or Wynn to be on the PS ... whoever they think has the most upside (and IMO that would be Jennings)

Some part of this has to be mental with the guy. He showed a lot of flashes his rookie year.

I think it's like 99% mental honestly. I'd bet he has some learning disabilities coupled with the inability to process information quickly (or as quickly as others).

I think when he first arrived he was just "playing" if that makes sense ... just instinct. And he was very good out of the backfield. Then, he just never progressed or adjusted for some reason.

The Browns are releasing defensive lineman Ishmaa’ily Kitchen as part of trimming the roster to 75 by Tuesday’s 4 p.m. deadline.

Kitchen, a true nose tackle, was caught up in a numbers game. The Browns took Danny Shelton in the first round last spring and have Phil Taylor coming off injury and entering the final year of his contract. Second-year player Jamie Meder is having a strong camp, too.

Though it’s rarely been healthy and intact in recent years, the Browns have a deep and talented defensive line. Shelton figures to be an immediate starter in a group that also includes veterans Desmond Bryant, Randy Starks and John Hughes and third-round rookie Xavier Cooper. Like Kitchen, Billy Winn is a fourth-year defensive end who figures to have to find work elsewhere by this weekend.

The Browns claimed Kitchen from the Ravens at the conclusion of the 2012 preseason. He played in 40 games over the past three seasons.

Kitchen figures to get at least a look from another team soon, possibly as soon as Wednesday via the league’s waiver claim system.

The Browns also placed backup quarterback Connor Shaw and backup offensive lineman Michael Bowie on injured-reserve and placed three players on the reserve-non football injury list: Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, Randall Telfer and Glenn Winston. Ekpre-Olomu and Telfer are 2015 draft picks the team knew would likely not be ready to contribute this season.

Mac, even his first year he had, what...3.6 yards per carry? What was Hardesty's YPC that year?

I would think those who were traded would get a chip on their shoulder and want to prove the original team wrong.

The guy missed blatant open holes and never really seemed to have that "burst" out of the backfield.

I think he's just a bust. Plain and simple. Nothing against the guy personally...he just didn't work out.

I seriously don't understand the love affair that the coaches and FO have with Shaw. I get that he's a hard worker, and has a "winner's" mentality, but damn, we just flat out don't need another diminutive QB, especially one with a weak arm. If we're keeping three, I'd much rather keep Thaddy Lew, or go after EJ or Glennon if they are or become available to be had. What the hell am I missing?!

I agree. I'm all for cutting him and moving on.

But there's no point roster-wise in cutting him if you can IR him.

Then hopefully the plan is to release him once he is healthy.
