per ESPN radio ... Trent RIchardson just cut
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

per ESPN radio ... Trent RIchardson just cut I was beyond shocked when Oakland picked him up... who's going to shock me now? Or was Oakland TRich's last NFL stint? EDIT Link for confirmation: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/08/31/raiders-cut-trent-richardson/

I criticized TRich more than anyone, but even I never thought he would be that bad.
Fred Jackson? Wow, he just broke a 50 or 60 yd. run against the Steelers over the weekend.

I would resign Trent Richardson just so to make it that we got a first for a player and then got him back a year later as a free agent. Hell there would literally be no down side lol. get him for league min.

What if we ended up seeing Trent Richardson, and Robert Griffin the Third both in Browns uniforms, we'd be unstoppable according to pre-draft speculation, but who knows if it would increase the win total.
Dolphins ain't cutting Tannehill yet.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Someone "liked" that post? There are some interesting perspectives on this board. What? He's insinuating that teams are going to be able to gash the Steelers via the run game. Of course I am going to like that, why does that say I have an 'interesting perspective?' The Steelers front is... questionable.

More further proof how inept Tom Heckert was as a GM. TRICH is probably done. Weeden is a just big dumb lumbering oaf as a backup and Gordon is out of the NFL essentially. Yet Heckert gets a pass

So we got 9 more cuts I guess I'll read on - I think we are trying to sneak Wynn on our PS...has to clear waivers, 3 days I think??? Yes, waivers is 3 days. I don't think you can sign players to the PS until after the final cuts. It doesn't even make sense to sign players to that squad until after you have the full list of players cut, so for Wynn, his waiver period is more like 12 days. Just my opinion here: I think the kid is valued by us but I am not so sure he is going to hold much value around the league, but as they say, it only takes 1 team to like a player, so who knows? Either way, if he gets signed, I think we are losing more of a fan favorite then a player who is going to make a large impact in the league.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn. GM Strong

I can see the coaches selecting one of Jennings, Lenz, or Wynn to be on the PS ... whoever they think has the most upside (and IMO that would be Jennings)

He showed a lot of flashes his rookie year. I think it's like 99% mental honestly. I'd bet he has some learning disabilities coupled with the inability to process information quickly (or as quickly as others). I think when he first arrived he was just "playing" if that makes sense ... just instinct. And he was very good out of the backfield. Then, he just never progressed or adjusted for some reason.

Many of our fans never consider that angle..what a trade can do to a person's confidence. After running and receiving for over 1300 yds his rookie year, being traded was likely the furthest thing from TR's mind.
Being traded likely blind sided him, hitting him like a ton of bricks. We can only guess what effect the trade had on TR, emotionally...did he withdraw, become depressed, turn to drinking?..we just don't know.
One fact that cannot be denied, the Browns did not screw over the Colts. The Colts got a 1300 yd RB (as a rookie, running and receiving), who scored 11 TDs rushing and 1 passing, a very productive back for the Browns.
...I'm sure the Colts question, what happened to that RB who had over 1300 yds from scrimmage in 2012?

I think I would rather have Trent than Rice...but its a tough call...neither as a go to guy just a guy in case we need the reps. Trent did catch a lot of passes for us his rookie season.
jmho - definitely an enigma. No where would I have thought after his rookie season he would be so so... Inept.

There will be some RBs cut who might be able help the Browns, just have to wait and see.
Once Duke is healthy, he will be in the lineup, so how long will the Browns have the need to add anymore RBs?
Getting our guys healthy and ready for Sept 13th..how soon can our guys get healthy?..big question right now.

'Browns cut NT Kitchen, place QB Shaw on IR' http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/201...partner=ya5nbcsPosted by Zac Jackson on September 1, 2015, 9:40 AM EDT The Browns are releasing defensive lineman Ishmaa’ily Kitchen as part of trimming the roster to 75 by Tuesday’s 4 p.m. deadline. Kitchen, a true nose tackle, was caught up in a numbers game. The Browns took Danny Shelton in the first round last spring and have Phil Taylor coming off injury and entering the final year of his contract. Second-year player Jamie Meder is having a strong camp, too. Though it’s rarely been healthy and intact in recent years, the Browns have a deep and talented defensive line. Shelton figures to be an immediate starter in a group that also includes veterans Desmond Bryant, Randy Starks and John Hughes and third-round rookie Xavier Cooper. Like Kitchen, Billy Winn is a fourth-year defensive end who figures to have to find work elsewhere by this weekend. The Browns claimed Kitchen from the Ravens at the conclusion of the 2012 preseason. He played in 40 games over the past three seasons. Kitchen figures to get at least a look from another team soon, possibly as soon as Wednesday via the league’s waiver claim system. The Browns also placed backup quarterback Connor Shaw and backup offensive lineman Michael Bowie on injured-reserve and placed three players on the reserve-non football injury list: Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, Randall Telfer and Glenn Winston. Ekpre-Olomu and Telfer are 2015 draft picks the team knew would likely not be ready to contribute this season.

Mac, even his first year he had, what...3.6 yards per carry? What was Hardesty's YPC that year? I would think those who were traded would get a chip on their shoulder and want to prove the original team wrong. The guy missed blatant open holes and never really seemed to have that "burst" out of the backfield. I think he's just a bust. Plain and simple. Nothing against the guy personally...he just didn't work out.

The Browns also placed backup quarterback Connor Shaw I seriously don't understand the love affair that the coaches and FO have with Shaw. I get that he's a hard worker, and has a "winner's" mentality, but damn, we just flat out don't need another diminutive QB, especially one with a weak arm. If we're keeping three, I'd much rather keep Thaddy Lew, or go after EJ or Glennon if they are or become available to be had. What the hell am I missing?!
