These guys never act like they want it bad enough.
To me that is the most disappointing thing of all.
I'd attribute this directly to absolutely zero leadership on this team. Our leaders (Haden/Thomas) were busy sitting the preseason out. Your early concern of Pettine running a soft TC was warranted and now we are seeing the results.

And Johnny fumbles again. He is absolutely the best QB in the league. No doubt about it. You know, I tend to dislike constant negativity but it sucks when it proves to be correct..no offense BTW... When Johnny was selected and walked across the stage.... Roger Goodell TOWERED over him. Every corner on the stage was bigger than him. I knew then that we were in trouble with that pick. Do i WANT Johnny to be the next great QB? HELL YES! I'd love him to be the next Otto Graham. But the odds are very much against it.

Yeh right, JFF has improved LMAO This is him imrpoved. That's the scary part. He has played improved. I believe that is the point...and he still srinks!! Why? Because he fumbled on a blind side hit in his third pro game. This game is a positive sign for the Browns and Manziel. I'm 100% positive that Pettine will play McCown when he's healthy even if next week. A move I will strongly disagree with.

I'm so thankful I did not drink the entire glass of koolaid served by Brandon, my ticket agent , and pay an increase for all my season tix. Split my tix this year to avoid so much misery! Somehow, paying for only half lessens the pain of what is historically the Browns.

Great game by the Clowns! A "rookie" head coach blows Pettine and "Text" away.

The highlight of my day... You must have really boiled his blood. I got really high the other day and started comparing him to MKC and didn't even get blocked!

Who should take as much blame for this as anyone. RAY FARMER. Truly the worst GM in the league by a long shot.

gabriel's drop pretty much summed up the game. I thought it was Josh McCown making an amazing play then getting concussed at the goal line and fumbling it. I thought that was Browns esque. Maybe that third down run? Who knows. We suck. We can't even playing meaningless minutes.

There's one good thing about us sucking so much and so resolutely this early... I have my fall Sunday's to back myself again. There's no getting wrapped up emotionally. I'm much more productive in the fall of the years we blow.

Well ..... all I can say is that this has been one incredibly ugly game. The best comparison I can make is that while I was channels surfing last night, I came across some really stupid show about a guy who wound up going on a date with an absolutely hideous troll. That is what this game looks like ... a hideous troll. So many stupid mistakes, billions (OK, a slight exaggeration) of penalties, players running into one another .... 5 or 6 turnovers?..... fumbles that should never have happened ..... what an absolute mess. I can accept some mistakes, given that Manziel missed time in camp, and only returned to practice last week, but man, this is just abhorrent. I would assume that it is very likely that McCown could be out next week as well ..... so at least Manziel will get time to practice, but in this game even out=r strengths let us down. The OL looked like they have never played together. The secondary has been an embarrassment. Again, we cannot stop the run. *Sigh* Thank goodness it's only one game. There is a lot of work to do before game 2 though, that's for sure. Game one has been a mess.

I still think JM should start the season. And how long do you think he'd survive? He lasted less than two games last year. So we should believe he can survive an entire NFL season why exactly?

So we should believe he can survive an entire NFL season why exactly? to be fair, if you look at how trash our OL is, starting manziel is the only chance we have at winning a game, as he can atleast scramble. the guy is our leading rusher right now. pa.the.tic.

I think Austin Davis is prob the best qb we have, and that's scary. I'd pick up rice, Thomas, or Bradshaw immediately after the game

Small, seemingly fragile, elbow tendonitis, sat out most of pre season, how many fumbles this game, personal issues, score of this game. I get it that the O line has not protected and done their job. Manziel needs to learn how to protect the ball in traffic. I would like nothing more for Manziel to be the superhero of the Browns but just don't see it based on the sampling thus far, technique and fundamentals. Having a difficult time even thinking we drafted him knowing about the elbow. Big concern there for a qb.

I have a bunch of questions about some of our units, but I'll wait a couple days until folks calm down a bit.
All I'll say is that I didn't expect them to play great, but I did expect them to look competent, kind of like we have a team of pros who belong on a pro roster. I don't feel like they looked competent.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

No reason to be negative. We played like Browns. This is what our staff has been working for the entire off season.
Dumped Jabal Sheard. He's not good enough to play for the Browns. He is good enough to play for the Patriots though..... Kept Mingo, he's much better. Dumped Green. He's got an attitude problem. Kept Gilbert though. He's been highly productive today. LMAO
