I watched the Football Life on NFL Network that followed Mike Singletay's career. It showed quite a bit of his coaching days, starting with the Ravens. He seems to be a pretty good hire.
I'm hearing that Jim Schwartz is a real possibility.
I am seeing that the Eagles and Jaguars (whom he is definitely interviewing with) are also interested.
I would personally prefer Schwartz to all others, as he is a proven DC and has the connections to put a solid staff together on defense along with Hue.
Not to mention he has been a head coach. This would be a solid hire. Schwartz is by far the best candidate to head up the D.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.
Singletary could end up be a dark horse DC candidate as well. Interesting that he also follows sasha on twitter. I can't think of any reason he would do that outside of a job coming his way.
I know he is a tough and somewhat abrasive coach much like he was as a great player. It would be fun to see him on our sidelines chewing up players who got lazy =)
You can't fix stupid but you can destroy ignorance. When you destroy ignorance you remove the justifications for evil. If you want to destroy evil then educate our people. Hate is a tool of the stupid to deal with what they can't understand.
Someone asked Mike Singletary about JFF in Vegas. He got a little mixed up and thought JFF used the name Vernon instead of Billy but here's the response.
I have to think... do our ends compliment that ? We need speedy guys.. Do you move Mingo to end ?
We don't have much at all for the 4-3 right now, but a wide 9 is a little easier transition for the OLB's to DE than a normal 4-3.
The bad thing is that you will get torn up in the running game without exceptional run stopping LBs to cover those wide running lanes and double teams that the wide 9 allows.
Vikings running backs coach Kirby Wilson, whose contract expires tomorrow, is still in the running to become the Browns' running game coordinator. The Vikings had blocked Wilson from talking to the Browns last week after they first expressed interest in Wilson, but Wilson would be free to leave after tomorrow. He attended the same high school as Browns coach Hue Jackson.

Well, at the very least, it explains why it was reported Cleveland was in the hunt. After it was initially reported Vikings denied, I was puzzled why Wilson's name kept appearing as a strong candidate.
I agree...male genitalia! Hmm, Zimmer and Hue not the best of buds?
It just means he is a good coach they didn't want to let go. They were trying to get him to resign. That should tell you good things about him as a coach. I like it. Not like Hue wouldn't wait a week to sign up an old friend. I was worried about nepotism but their desire to keep him from us shows more than anything that Hue is smart man to go after him.
