Most teams haven't filled out their staff yet. If we finish this week and there is nothing I will be worried (the Senior Bowl is next week).

It tell you:

Mike Singletary followed some Browns people on Twitter. He will probably be our linebacker coach.

Is he still as chubby as he was with the Browns? If he gains a few more pounds people might start mistaking him with Reid.

Yeah. I Googled it and it also had it listed as Singletary's nickname on Wikipedia. I've never heard him called that before.

I watched the Football Life on NFL Network that followed Mike Singletay's career. It showed quite a bit of his coaching days, starting with the Ravens. He seems to be a pretty good hire.

Not to mention he has been a head coach. This would be a solid hire. Schwartz is by far the best candidate to head up the D.

I agree man. I am not happy with the Horton talk. Seems like we have been there. Wait, we have!

Our D sucked then, and the Titans D sucks now. What else is there to see?

Singletary could end up be a dark horse DC candidate as well. Interesting that he also follows sasha on twitter. I can't think of any reason he would do that outside of a job coming his way.

I know he is a tough and somewhat abrasive coach much like he was as a great player. It would be fun to see him on our sidelines chewing up players who got lazy =)

Someone asked Mike Singletary about JFF in Vegas. He got a little mixed up and thought JFF used the name Vernon instead of Billy but here's the response.

Thanks - then put me down for Schwartz, since I was pimping Lovie Smith here already. Either would be better than Horton, IMO.

We don't have much at all for the 4-3 right now, but a wide 9 is a little easier transition for the OLB's to DE than a normal 4-3.

The bad thing is that you will get torn up in the running game without exceptional run stopping LBs to cover those wide running lanes and double teams that the wide 9 allows.

I like Wide 9... but we need some killer LB's.. not sure we have any at all. I like Kirksey. He just doesn't intimidate.

Well, at the very least, it explains why it was reported Cleveland was in the hunt. After it was initially reported Vikings denied, I was puzzled why Wilson's name kept appearing as a strong candidate.

I agree...male genitalia! Hmm, Zimmer and Hue not the best of buds?

I do think Wilson makes a good hire.

It's almost reminds me of Coach Pet hiring his buddies. Hope it works out. Sounds like Schwartz as DC is a looooong shot.

It just means he is a good coach they didn't want to let go. They were trying to get him to resign. That should tell you good things about him as a coach. I like it. Not like Hue wouldn't wait a week to sign up an old friend. I was worried about nepotism but their desire to keep him from us shows more than anything that Hue is smart man to go after him.
