bugs...spending all this money, yet can't find the money to sign his top wr, a 1000 yd wr?
Explain that to everyone... because his "top" wr is childish, but we did sign a 1000 yd wr..oh and he had more TD's

Update on # Browns draft picks: 2017 - 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 6 2018 - 1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 4, 4, 5, 6, 6, 7 11 picks EACH in next 2 drafts Tons of ammo to move for our preferred QB, either in this draft, or someone else's backup. We could use 1 and 12, and maybe trade into the 20s in the 1st using 2 of those future 2nds and a lower pick or 2. We could load up in this draft and still have future assets to use.

ARCH....DID YOU SAY THE BROWNS JUST SIGNED PRYOR....GOOD NEWS, THANKS No, I didn't say that. However, you've been griping non stop about the Browns not tossing him whatever he wants. Has he signed anywhere mac? If not, quit griping - that means the Browns are still in it for him. Might the Browns lose him? Yup. And I might win the lottery tonight. Here's a thought - instead of griping about not having signed Pryor yet, how about we wait and see what happens with Pryor?

Teams already have reached out to Browns to inquire about Brock Osweiler's availability, per team sources.
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I wonder how Sashi is "looking" today to his detractors?
I gotta admit, today has been entertaining. Every time I check my phone I'm pumping my fist, or in the Osweiler case, laughing.
Here's for going into next season with the quarterbacks we have and going all in for our guy in the draft next year.

The Browns reportedly just spent more than $100M to completely retool their O-line The Browns entered the 2017 NFL offseason with a pile of money (north of $100 million in cap space) and not much talent on the roster. Cleveland has taken immediate steps to curb the latter by using the former, unleashing a firehose of money in the direction of some quality offensive linemen. No one is going to guarantee that spending in free agency equates to quality spending, but the Browns’ moves -- signing guard Kevin Zeitler and interior lineman JC Tretter while giving guard Joel Bitonio a huge extension -- certainly appears like Cleveland is trending upward in the trenches. The Zeitler deal is a massive one, with Cleveland making the young free agent, who was surprisingly not retained by the Bengals this offseason, the highest-paid guard in NFL history. According to CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora, the Browns handed Zeitler a deal that will average $12 million per year ($60 million over five years). Earlier in the day, the Browns also re-upped on Bitino, giving him a five-year extension that keeps him under contract through 2022. Aaron Wilson ✔ @AaronWilson_NFL Joel Bitonio Browns deal: $51.164 million, $23.664M gtd, salaries $3.164M, $5.5M, $6.5M, $8M, $8.5M, $8.5M; has $ 8.5M roster bonus 2017 2:02 PM - 9 Mar 2017 And just to slap a big, old cherry on top of the situation, the Browns also inked Tretter, the former Packers center. The terms on Tretter have yet to be reported, but the important lesson here is that the Browns are doing the smart thing and investing in the offensive line. Tretter is a massive upgrade over Cameron Erving, who looks like a bust early in his career (as with many first-round picks). Now the Browns have an offensive line of Joe Thomas, Zeitler, Tretter, Bitino and whoever you want to slap at right tackle. They have invested in an area that is difficult to acquire and develop through the draft. That’s called a market inefficiency, which is sometimes known as Moneyball, which is not really a nerdy baseball thing but actually an economic thing. And the Browns are wisely taking advantage of it. The additional protection for young quarterbacks will provide a benefit, and the Browns’ running game should immediately improve. This looks like a set of pretty smart and swift moves to open free agency by the Browns front office. It feels somewhat like a “Twilight Zone” situation, but is certainly optimistic, especially when you consider the possibilities of what they could add in the draft. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/the-br...l-their-o-line/

Explain that to everyone... FA is not over yet. Sashi can still dump, renegotiate, or trade Brock keeping the extra draft pick next year. You have yet to explain whether Pryor wants to stay in Cleveland? Is Pryor more concern about the money? I have stated a few times is Pryor putting up a front. It is obvious other teams are not beating down his door.

olskool...if sushi doesn't get Pryor signed...I don't give a damn what he does, he will be a failure as a GM.
Sashi has had a year to get Pryor signed and under contract and failed to get the job done.
The Browns will never win a championship is they continue to fail in free agency. Signing someone elses leftovers is easy...retaining your own, best players is how you measure a GMs value.
How do you feel when you watch our best players, playing for anther team in the playoffs or the Super Bowl?
I view each player as a failure by the Browns front office.
...that must change or the Browns will always be the loser who could not get their own players re-signed.

arch...next time, post a link, ok... No, I didn't say that. Pull your panties out of your butt, it's apparently affecting what little reading comprehension you have. HERE is what I DID say: No.
Did Pryor sign somewhere else? I hadn't heard that if so.
Does seem to me Pryor's agent perceived value is dropping, wouldn't you agree?
Reports have the Browns with the best offer on the table, for Pryor, would you agree?
Or would you have just put $12 mil a year out there for him right up front?
Man, just stop.

Nah, mac doesn't think that way.
Since Pryor hasn't been re-signed by the Browns at this point, this whole free agency thing is totally screwed, we can't attract free agents, the front office sucks, may as well jump from a plane without a parachute into a lion's den that has a great white shark filled moat around it.

I feel your pain at our lack of success but I believe we had a good day today. It's pointless criticising something you have no control over my friend, genuinely. I really hope we (Browns) have turned a corner and when I finally get to see them in London this year we are on the cusp of something.
Hope is your friend. It's mine.

Apparently you don't. I just quoted it. I NEVER said Pryor signed anywhere. Never, not once. If I did, find it and quote it. Or, don't waste your time looking, cause you won't find it.

that...when Pryor is resigned, I will credit the Harvard boy with doing what he was hired to do.
Like I said, resigning someone else's leftovers (FA) is easy...resigning your own is how a GM should be judged.
Look at how Sashi lost Schwartz in free agency last year...this year Sashi is throwing even more money to sign offensive guards.
A real GM must be forward thinking...not stuck in the moment. Sashi screwed up last year...will he do it again this year, with Pryor?
...the jury is still out!

What Im thinking.
1. Garrett 12. Hooker 33. Howard 52. Best CB available
Are they thinking Erving at Rt. Tackle? How is Shon doing?
Thanks to Depo for being a man and taking a bullet for Hue at the beginning of the season -- waterbottlegate. It showed some good, long overdue, leadership. Now get Jimmy, Sashi, and whoever to convince Hue that he and Saunders need to get a smart, young guy in and start developing him into a top Offensive Coordinator.
On to the draft.

Sometimes you amaze me...has he not signed. Has he signed anywhere else. Has anyone suggested that teams have come close to the 13mil he was asking.
I don't know if we signed Britt in "STEAD" of Pryor as we were not going to wait around for him. If so that is on Pryor not our guys.
Britt is close to the same age, a big WR with more experience on an Awful Offensive team last year gained 1,000 yards with less catches.
You think its a fact - if we do not sign Pryor nothing else matters the FO are failures.
We signed Britt. We signed the Top Center on the market. We extended our young talented OG BEFORE THEY SAW WHAT WE OFFERED TO Zeitler. If we waited next year they would have worked off of Zeitler's contract. We signed Collins. Picked up Brockweiller and got a 2nd round pick in doing so. We might even get more and trade him to another team???
But if we don't sign PRYOR the FO was a failure...smh

I've always measured the GM's success by how well the team plays with the players that GM has acquired. Regardless of how they were acquired.
So if in 2-3 years this team some how ends up in the playoffs W/O having to sign Pryor then Sashi and co. failed?
