This season could get ugly quick, sadly.

Tyrod plays poorly. They lose this week. Then lose to Darnold?

Baker gets rushed. Not good.

I sure hope it doesn't go that way.

One game in. Please don't panic.

Lol, bone, but you're the guy sounding panicked. wink

There were some whispers that the staff was concerned with his lack of separation last week

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Well it sounds like we are going to trade him, so there's that.

The more I read about this, it was after the medical staff saw him, and were concerned that he might be back on the sauce. I doubt any team gives the Browns much for him. Even Belichek got to see that the kid is helpless. Someone will wait until he is cut, then offer him a one year deal. My guess is he never plays again.

More will surface regarding Gordon.

But I agree that Gordon was on the outside looking in.

The team practiced and prepared. Gordon was not a part of that.

So maybe now they will come together and take on a true team personality.

someone might not want to wait or want to negotiate with him. Although this all feels moot since Dorsey already released an announcement saying that Gordon is no longer on the team. I assume we got some phone calls at that point.

We shall see.

I see talent but I see how things may go.

It is not a forecast. More a precaution.

I'm bummed out this all happened but we gave Josh every opportunity and then some. He has no one to blame but himself.

Big disappointment.

In the short term, cutting Gordon neither helps nor hurts the team. He just was not going to be the big impact player that people hoped for. Just a "meh" player at best.

In the long term, it helps the Browns. The Browns front office now realizes that they need to go out and find a reliable #1 receiver, instead of hoping beyond hope year after year after year that maybe, just maybe, Josh will bother to show up and spare them all that effort.

Clarity is a good thing. Dorsey is now on the clock to get a #1 receiver and everybody knows it.

To me he was a FREE ROLL ... we had zero TO LOSE ...

If he relapsed i’m Good with this ...

If he didn’t relapse it was DUMB as hell and we best trade him ...

If not after what we did with Kendricks I’m gonna start wondering if Dorsey’s bi-polar ... *L* ...

The NFL is probably not the place for a guy with an addiction problem. It may also be a pain management problem. They need to stop testing for weed already. It's not a performance enhancer.

What could have been...SMH.

Understand the move, but still disappointed that the potential won't be realized here.

Question: Trades in the NFL are contingent upon a player passing the teams physical, correct? I would assume that the physical would include a urinalysis test, no? I ask because I thought it odd that they would just release him when he seemed to have some trade value.

And it's a Damn shame that all the support the Browns gave Josh.. That in week 2 the let down has already happened.

I was a big supporter of Josh.. But I'am a bigger supporter of the Brown and Orange. Not into the Josh drama anymore.

It's BS that Josh put Dorsey in this position. I fully support Dorsey on this...100 percent

We haven't released him yet.

Eventually you have to avoid the sunken cost fallacy, but what a shame. If he didn’t fail a test this is a hard one to swallow; after all the waiting and hoping he gets cut for being late?! I get it, his fault, but just another bummer in a crappy chapter of Browns history.

It’s amazing how quickly the mood can go from highly optimistic to “how about that 2019 draft?” in a short couple of weeks. From thinking we had a very good receiving Corp and good talent at LB to losing Coleman, Kendricks and Gordon in short order.

So disappointed. He had such natural talent that can never be taught or one can train to achieve.

I'll never forget that catch against Talib, where after catching a short slant, he just pushes him and then blows by him for the length of the field. It will be so tantalizing to forever think of what could have been....

In any event, he is a human and makes human mistakes. Let's all hope for the best for him (and the rest of our receiving corps).

I personally never felt Coleman was a good receiver.. Kendricks was a one year deal and Gordon was exactly what Gordon was..

It's a easy move on from those three players...

Hard to even call this a loss no more than JG was here and on the field. I had hoped for 2013 JG this year but not on another team. That said, I'll wait until we know more to decide who is the turd in this punch bowl. I do know that if we don't win this year it won't be because of this.

They have to cut Coleman to make room for Gordon.

If TT looks bad again tomorrow, they can package the two and ship them together as far as I'm concerned.

We know that at least some of Josh's suspensions have been for more than "just pot". (by his own admission)

I see no way the Browns blow him out the door for something minor. Not after all they had invested in him. There's more to the story.

As far as football goes, Gordon isn't a victim of anyone but himself and his poor choices in his life.

Also, the Cleveland Curse ended when the Cavs won it all a little bit back, didn't it?
