I can see that happening. Kyrie to the Knicks? If so, yeah, that seems like a good fit for him. I don't think Kyrie cares about winning as much as being "the man". Being "the man" in a Knicks uni and returning them to the playoffs would be something. Doesn't he only have one more year left in Boston?

Doesn't he only have one more year left in Boston? Yes. Supposedly he and Jimmy Butler want to team up. Jimmy Butler requested a trade today, the three teams he wants to be traded to are the Clippers, Nets, or Knicks. All should have enough cap space to sign two stars next off-season.

interesting. Looks like the divide was real between Butler and KAT George Hill for Jimmy Butler. Boom, 9th seed. Get it done!

The T'Wolves are so screwed. Butler is going to be gone and I think KAT will be next. If they lose both those guys and are stuck with Wiggins (and his contract) they should be contracted.

Not sure who on here wanted to keep Wiggins instead of Kevin, but man, Wiggins is not a max player. For a guy that tall, it's amazing he's so terrible on the glass. It's easy to find PGs with better rebounding numbers. KAT looked lost in the playoffs. I don't think that's a permanent thing, but yikes, that was awfully bad.

He is due to make over $81 million over the next three seasons.

There have been all kinds of rumors about Kyrie wanting to go to the Knicks. He went to high school in New Jersey, so it makes some sense. Let me add...........no one dreams of being a New Jersey Net. LOL

Jimmy Butler trade rumors: Cavaliers reportedly pursuing Timberwolves star - CBSSports.com https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/jimmy...berwolves-star/A new team has emerged as a pursuing party in the Jimmy Butler trade sweepstakes as the tentacles surrounding his trade interest continue to flail. In addition to the Nets, Pistons, Rockets, Clippers, Heat, Sixers and Blazers, all teams with previously reported interest in Butler, the Cleveland Cavaliers have joined the fold and are officially pursuing the Timberwolves star, according to ESPN. The Cavs' owner, Dan Gilbert, was reportedly seen speaking privately with Minnesota owner Glen Taylor at the NBA Board of Governors meeting on Friday. Taylor has mandated a deal to ship Butler out of Minnesota get done swiftly as training camp fast approaches. Adrian Wojnarowski ✔ @wojespn ESPN Sources: Another team pursuing a Jimmy Butler trade with Minnesota: Cleveland. Cavs owner Dan Gilbert was seen talking privately with Glen Taylor at NBA Board of Governors meeting on Friday. Both owners played a part in negotiating the Love-Wiggins deal. 1:44 PM - Sep 23, 2018 Though past history doesn't dictate what could happen in the present, Minnesota and Cleveland have a history of agreeing to blockbuster deals. In 2014, the Timberwolves agreed to send Kevin Love to Cleveland in return for Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett, Thad Young and a $6.3 million trade exception. Butler has named the Clippers as his preferred landing spot, according to reports, and also has interest in the Nets and Knicks. According to ESPN, team owner Glen Taylor wants to strike a deal on a Butler trade "in the next several days" to avoid ongoing drama surrounding the team, especially as training camp gets started on Tuesday.

this will be interesting, as Butler had a list of teams he wanted to go to.
obviously at the end of the day he has really no say so, but i wonder if he'd be happy being trade here? he certainly would be a primary ball handler with love.

i don't see how we have the assets to get him without trading a core piece, unless they are just looking to dump him...maybe they'll take Hill/TT lol

Love might be the guy? Minnesota might want him back to stretch the floor

How much heart will he put into it if he ends up here seeing he didn't name Cleveland as a preferred landing spot? Jimmy Butler would play hard anywhere. He is one of the best two-way players in the league. One reason he doesn't want to stay in Minni is because he thinks some of the dudes there don't play hard. He thinks Wiggins is heartless. I wonder if Excel will revive one of the threads [like he did w/the Baker draft thread] on the Wiggins/Love trade? LMAO

That’s why I’m wondering what we could even offer. I stay hill or TT because of their contracts. We have to send out something substantial. They obviously aren’t looking to get his true value now

Dude, Wiggins sucks ass. He is one of the most selfish players in the league and the main reason Butler wants out.

True. The Cavs' wings were the strength of the team during the dynasty. I'm glad we were able to get all star quality 2 guard play from Dion Waiters and Iman Shumpert. Good thing we built our team around 3 Superstars when everyone else was trying for 4 or more.

Getting middle schoolers for Kyrie >>>>>>>
Thinking that giving up Wiggins might've been too much for a star player who played in %75 of our finals <<<<<<<

For the same reason why no teams get matching talent for star players.
Flip notoriously wanted everything for Love. He wanted Draymond and Klay. We were the only one who listened to him.

FYI: Higgins was traded along Anthony Bennett as part of a 3 way trade w/Minnesota and Philly that netted the Cavs Kevin Love.
Just trying to keep it real.

Also, this forum has a toggle option, so thankfully I wouldn't have to remove him from ignore to read his post. Which I was doing that one night until I forgot about the discussion.
