Terry Bradshaw hit the nail right on the head. This team still has too much doubt. They want to win but don't expect to win.

It's coaching and Baker. Baker was supposed to lift the team. Guys were supposed to rally around him, make them believe. I haven't seen it. That's disappointing.

He brought us back from 14 down in the fourth quarter, in case you don't remember.

I think our D has as much doubt as our O ... neither one DOES IT when it matters

yeah if this was year 2 or 3 for baker i can see it being the case, but he needs to be lifted up by his coach and vets while he's learning the pro game. Lead the offense on the field, but getting these guys prepared and ready to go and believing in the game plan and playcalling? The coaches are failing

You may be right. Like I said, I'm hardest on the players that are supposed to be the best on their team.

I think some of the worst parts of these losses is the pity/jokes in the media, twitter, tv, etc

Cool, we are friends, we just disagree.

I won't tell you why you are wrong since you aren't going to keep saying it was a good call. tongue

For all the praise this defense gets, they can't make stops when it matters. They constantly allow teams to cross the fifty with ease and help from penalties. Their zone coverage is putrid. I was pointing to spots on the field before plays happened, and telling my wife that's where they will throw. I was 4 for 6.

Yes and no. They made a lot of timely stops today. They gave the offense the ball to win the game really only needing about 10 yards to go. The offense was putrid.

Did anybody else notice on Tampa's 2nd drive when they came away with the FG that on 2nd and 4 Barber ran the ball and only gained 3 yards to the Tampa 48 yd line yet the ref marked it at the 49 and gave them a 1st down?

yep, noticed it ... and thought it was blatant

I think we're headed in the right direction.

Losing sucks, I hate it, especially losses like this but I see light at the end of the tunnel. And trust me I really want to be negative right now.

A couple more drafts like the one we just had and we'll be smiling one day......one day....

Yeah, but this one was so obvious. The ref had a clear line of vision of the play and it wasn't like Barber got pushed back on the play cause he was tackled by his legs yet the Down Judge ran out onto the field down the 49 yd line as the players were still getting up at the 48.

In 2 games this year Pittsburgh and TB we took the ball away 10 times and only gave it away 2 times in those games we are 0-1-1 superconfused

Nice guys finish last, time for Hue Jackson to go!
not kicking field goal in the first half and not using a time out before the
last kick is poor coaching.

Tampa Bay is a bad team that should have got beating badly
4 turnovers and still lose?
Brown's are poorly coached from the top down.

We will likely never again have draft "quantity/position" that Sashi left us...

The play that stands out to me is the sack in overtime. 3rd and 3 at the Tampa Bay 39, you cannot get sacked. I’ll need to watch the play again to see if it was on Baker or the line. I am curious on who the primary receiver was, and what route he was running.

Special teams had their second good game in a row.

Randall and Ward both played great all game.

Ogbah had his best game of the year.

Collins played much better.

Landry looked like himself.

I think Chubb played very well.

Mayfield started slowly but came on strong in the second half.

There was plenty of negative things but I don’t want to get into them.

Checked back. At the start of the 4th quarter, the Browns got their 8th first down of the day.

That means they had 7 first downs through 3 quarters. (not good)

^ It's a wonder they even had a chance in this game.

But with the way they cut veteran players from their own roster, can we think this day would ever come?

No, you wouldn't.

Marty has Alzheimer's.

I despise the way Coach Hue Jackson called out his OC in his interview. That type of talk needs to happen in house, and kept away from the media. Should have never went there publicly....especially immediately after a loss. Did he forget his record as the Browns OC?

My thoughts are I am sick of guys who don't know squat about football blaming the coaching every damn week.

could someone who has knowledge of the game and our schemes explain to me why our offense struggled so much the first half?

It's a good question, but I don't think the majority of posters are interested in football talk. It's about playing the blame game and firing yet another coach, because that has always worked so well in the past.
