I don't want to celebrate a situation like this, or somehow champion that it wasn't my team that is dealing with this, but man I am glad we cut the cord with him when we did.
The Browns stood by that guy for a long time, and he continuously let them down. I feel bad for the situation, but I am glad that the Browns look like they made the smart move in parting ways, and even secured a draft pick out of it.
It's a disappointing situation because a talent like his is rare. I think Marijuana should be legal, especially for football players, but until then, it's not hard to follow the rules. I get that there may have been more than Marijuana, but that was quite a bit of the situation.
Good points The Browns did what they could. I don't know what else the Browns as far as being generous and accommodating. If anything, they were too much so and enabled Josh's behavior. That said, I'm not convinced it would have turned out much differently, regardless of how the Browns approached it.

He never got out of his rookie contract, he never got his payday. Now he probably never will. LMAO to the 2 baby mamas who spread their legs for that bum thinking they would get taken care of.

Seriously? Harsh, and uncalled for. And I have never been a Gordon apologist.
How does a league celebrating its 100th season only recognize the 53 most recent championships?

I feel sorry for his family that are depending on him financially and for guidance. Right now it doesn't look like he can take care of them.

Marijuana, Codeine, DUI, alcohol after that DUI
There was other stuff. He mentioned some of it in one of those ill-advised interviews a while back. Yeah, it had to be cocaine or heroin. I have used pot for years and every May and December I take the month off, just to make sure I'm not addicted and there are some withdrawal effects like very vivid dreams and lack of appetite but nothing that would make me give up multi-millions of dollars for it. Also he was hanging out with Manziel back a few years ago and Johnny was for sure doing coke so it stands to reason Gordon was too.

I have to agree with the others. That's not cool man.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.

If the Browns had kept him and he had 700 yards for us instead of them over this period, even though we would be furious now, might we also be playoff-bound?
Also, I was in Boston recently, where recreational pot is legal. Aside from the arguments about whether a non-enhancing, legal drug should not cause a suspension, maybe gong to a state where you can buy pot in a shop and smell it everywhere was a bad move.
Man, what a talent. He may have cost himself $100M all told.

Someone has to beat Pittsburgh in the playoffs. Over the years, it has probably been the Patriots more than anyone else.
Just saying.. be careful what you wish for. What’s your beef? The only team I care about is the Browns. And what I wish is that Holmgren never drafted the loser, and that the Browns FO had the nads to cut him years ago. “Careful what you wish for”? No beef here, though I do sometimes wonder about the irrational hatred for the Patriots that some people have. I have some unique thoughts on that, though some of them are political in nature. At some point, I may put those where they are appropriate. Other than that, I root for the Browns too. I try not to root against other teams to be honest, though I'm human too. I won't complain if someone beats Pittsburgh and Baltimore. Weaker AFC teams makes this less likely. I never portrayed irrational hatred for the Patriots. I live in New England. My hate is directed toward Gordon. He screwed the Browns over. Saying we sent BB a rotten egg is exactly what we did, no hate towards the NE pats. Imo ...if we traded Josh during the Johnny Football year we may have gotten a 2nd or 3rd for the rotten egg.

What a bunch of BS. Gordon simply isn’t disciplined enough to play pro football. And the last I checked there was only two shops open in MAss that sold rec pot. Neither are anywhere near Boston or Foxboro and you don’t smell it everywhere. Plus people are now being arrested for smoking it in public or in their cars. Something that didn’t happen much before they made rec pot legal. It’s a money maker and local police dept’s are taking full advantage of it as well.
