All of this restlessness from the left just before the elections. No one can tell me what their platform is...its sad really. All I hear is whah, I don't like Trump, we have to resist, none of it is about what you're going to actually do.

A majority of Dem candidate messaging (roughly 54%) has been health care related. They should’ve pressed it even harder than they have. You’re not wrong that it’s certainly been wishy-washy

On the flip side, the GOP messaging has been just as muddled. They can’t really tout the economy much, as it hasn’t improved for an overwhelming majority of voters, and they certainly can’t touch health care, so it seems “racism” has been their go-to in the home stretch.

Most of them don’t want to tie themselves to Trump, but they needing his hooting rube bade to show up, so they’ve settled on general racism (which is probably the best move for them in terms of those purposes).

If I were on the campaign trail the economy would probably be the thing I'd talk about 99% of the time.

Ok, so you have no message or plan. Maybe if the Republicans had a message on the economy besides "look at this", you would have a point.

I think the reason the republicans aren't talking economy is two fold:

1 - The economic gains haven't been equal, especially amongst those at median income and lower. They haven't seen a boost from the economy post GFC
2 - The economy isn't showing the strength you want to be able to tout it. The Dow and S&P are barely above water for the year, the deficit is scorching higher and higher on the tax reform from 2017, and the tariffs are putting pressure on more industries than it is helping others.

You're completely missing and are disconnected. You don't think the economy magically did that itself right?

How is pointing at the economy a plan? You guys can't even pass an infrastructure bill lmao With a full house, you have almost passed less legislation that Obama after he lost the house.

You guys can only run on Trump, because you have no other plan or message. If I'm missing, could you please clue me in. I'm well aware that the tax cuts had previously led to "unprecedented" levels, but what of that now? You guys are boasting of a booming economy, that is quickly running out of labor, which is great for wages, but will ultimately lead to a constriction of planned growth.

bro, i actually tried listening to jordan peterson after i asked about it in this thread.

i've watched multiple debates with him from various outlets, as well as him talking with sam harris and such.

he says a whole lot of nothing, can't answer simple questions, and really dances around issues.

he spent 6 minutes dodging the question on whether or not he believes in god, despite heavily believing in judo-christian values or whatever he calls it.

i cant even listen to ben shapiro cause he sounds like he hasn't hit puberty yet.

Yeah, Peterson exists mainly as someone dumb guys think is smart, and his appeal is that he gives them reasons why they can’t get laid that aren’t their own shortcomings.

At the very least, though, you can see a certain appeal in the father figure/“clean your room” type life advice. Shapiro is utterly baffling though - dumb, facile, whiny, annoying.

That’s what I got from listening to Jordan as well.

He always comes off as a guy who hates identity politics....but is well aware that there’s a very narrow demographic that listens to him, borderline worships the things he says; overwhelmingly white conservative males. Which is pretty much identity politics.

*disclaimer* not talking about ALL white conservative males

He knows it too because multiple people have asked him about it. He dodges the topic, because - atleast to me- he knows he’s talking to a bunch of dudes he knows are losers, but can’t tell them that because that’s the demographic that pays his bills. I mean think about it; he loves talking about gender roles and judo Christian values, and pretty much tells the racist what they want to hear, despite being clear he isn’t racist. It’s also why he doesn’t really appear with any non white panels like that.

I think that’s the thing I’ve noticed the most. The guys who talk about identity politics the most won’t actually have that convo with non white guest. And if they do, it’s people like Candace Owens who agree with everything they say anyway.

My thoughts on him are hard to put in a post, but basically, he’s really good at telling losers that they are anything but what they actually are: a bunch of losers.

Yeah, that sums up Peterson in a nutshell.

There’s a hilarious thread where this kid had a girlfriend who for obvious reasons thought that Peterson was a dumb charlatan, so to change her mind he bought her tickets to a Peterson lecture for her birthday. She told him the next day that she wanted to “see other people”. He was too dim to realize that this was a polite way of breaking up with him, and upon realizing it, launched into a rant about how feminism and “SJW-culture” had brainwashed his girlfriend and cost him his relationship.

That’s pretty much Dave Rubin’s whole deal, too - he wanted to be a stand-up comedian, but he’s painfully dumb and unfunny, so he’s set out to try and tell himself that it’s not his lack of talent or wit that held him back, but rather an overly sensitive “P.C.” culture.

You can’t really blame him - there’s a lot of money in preying on angry virgins who get swept up in “Ben Shapiro DESTROYS SJW’s” videos.

So I was just looking through this parade of losers that MemphisBrownie posts clips of and thought to myself “I bet Rubin has sat down with the “molesting kids is OK” Breitbart guy who always gets kicked out of bars for yelling “Sieg Heil” and doing Nazi salutes.

Sure enough...

bruh i never seen so much blatant slant jobs in my life. and it sucks because in order for me to view their videos, i have to click on "peterson CRUSHES..." "shapiro OWNS"

its so stupid because for the average loser who loves those two, they go into the video automatically assuming there's gonna be a section of the video where those guys make some ground breaking point.

but it never comes. at least for me it doesn't.

and who takes their lady to go see jordan peterson on her birthday? not only was she right to break up with him, she probably roasted his ass on social media as well to all her friends.

Someone had to explain to him that “seeing other people” was a euphemism meant to break up with someone gently, because he was so clueless he thought that it meant a polyamorous relationship and went on a whole rant about how “Dr. Peterson was right that traditional monogomous relationships are under threat”.

why do they constantly talk about defeating feminism like its ISIS? are they that threatened by women?

Their loserdom has been explained to them as not their fault, but the fault of feminism. If it weren’t for that, they’re told, girls might like them and they wouldn’t be so bitter or lonely.

As we’ve said, that’s a main tenet guys like Peterson and Rubin drill into the dorks that compromise their audience.
