Mack was a horse of a different color.. There were issues, he beat our FO up, and won. But the others, I just don't remember the details
How bout we just don't go down that road again...we don't need to start that one up again...lol
Just this, BB most PATs want to remain they did what they did to manage the cap.
Us we lost some not all but we lost mostly cause we weren't the best place for them to play due to many variables none more than the lack of consistency in our Coaching and Regimes.
We just cut Collins and did not get anything for him. Now is the worst time to get Draft value. I am just happy we got a 3rd for Shelton and something for a couple of other guys.
Defense wins championships. Watson play your butt off! Go Browns! CHRIST HAS RISEN! GM Strong! & Stay safe everyone!
If we give up a top 3 guard in football, that should suffice in lieu of a first pick..if not..move on..its not worth it
Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday. -John Wayne
Zeitler... a second this year and maybe next years first rounder.
While I have no apparent objection to acquiring OBJ, that seems far too high a price to pay.
Agreed. If we are giving up one of the best OG in the league, plus another player, PLUS picks - I do NOT see us including a 1st. Period. That would be colossally stupid of us.
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.
way too much for OBJ, you just create more holes with that.

I haven't listened to the segment but believe 92.3 The Fan had a national guy on to discuss the OBJ stuff. Apparently the segment led to the host posting this on twitter:
It's silly season so anything can really happen. Dorsey has been pretty tight lipped, so when rumors are floating out there, I don't consider it coming from the Browns.
At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

It was Aditi Kinkhabwala.
Shaun Morash was also on and rained on the parade.
Here's a link to their segments this morning on 92.3.....

Man...I don't know what to think really but the whole thing is damn exciting.
I think I would do the deal if no first or second round picks were given by us..
We all seem to be on board with Dorsey, have been singing his praises especially as it pertains to the draft so I guess we have to assume that Corbett can take over for Zeitler right ? There will be some drop off, especially early but will it be a debilitating weakness ?
OBJ is a game changer folks... I'm certainly ok with losing OGbah. I think he would end up being a rotational player once the draft and FA is done...Don't like losing Duke but we have to give up something valuable to get a player like OBJ...Zeitler is the key loss.
Reading what some believe would bring Beckham in trade is amazing.
He is on a HOF track playing for a bad team. He is 26 and under a fixed long term deal.
First the Giants would not even consider pick #17 as adequate.
What I put forth in Zeitler, a second this year and a first next year would be a starting point. The Giants may want more. I mean the Raiders traded Cooper for a first.
I would make the trade I suggested. You bring Beckham to the Browns with Landry, Chubb, Hunt, and Mayfield under Freddie.
The drop off from Zeitler to Corbett would mean nothing.
Our offense would make defenses shutter. We would still have pick 17 to go after a front seven guy. We have over $80 mil in cap space to address other positions.
Landry under and OBJ over top please. It would be must see TV.

Good points Bone, hard to really argue...I'm a bit on the fence to be truthful. It's a lot of capital to give up for one guy especially when our offence is already good enough to win games...
Just for fun, would anyone offer that deal for Von Miller ?

Without we win games, with we win divisions and are competing for championships.
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
we'll have to gauge how much we think the injury history is a recurring issue or just coincidence

Even if we end up taking a step back in play at one OG position this season, the step back is going to be relatively minor provided we don't just trot out a street bum.
That said, I'm betting it doesn't happen. There's no way two 1st's is happening, and hopefully, we're not even giving up one 1st. Not to mention, reportedly the Giants laughed at the offer of Zeitler, anyway.

Talks always start on the high end and the low end. Nobody throws out their meet in the middle offer to start.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.
What I find most interesting is that we apparently did make an offer. Them laughing at us means very little. Instead, it shows that Dorsey is very serious about improving this roster and winning a championship.
This part is just my opinion and I am not asking anyone to agree, but I think people don't realize just how good OBJ is. The opportunities for other people would expand significantly. He would make Baker a much better qb.
The rule changes favor the passing game. Can you imagine how good Baker, Chubb, Landry, Hunt, Njoku, etc would be if teams were focusing their game plans on stopping OBJ? Think big picture.
The only receiver that has similar numbers to OBJ at this point in their career is Jerry Rice. Jerry Rice has Joe Montana. OBJ has had crappy Eli Manning.
I realized how good he was in the draft that year and wanted him but that idiot Farmer and Pettine decided we needed Justin Gilbert instead at 8. Giants got him at 12, I believe.
Callaway and Beckham over top Landry underneath. Please.
OBJ is a perfect guy for Mayfield. I mean look at the passes to Callaway.
Beckham is a difference maker. Frustrated by where the Giants are and Eli a diminished quarterback.
He is tracking HOF numbers.
I would love to get him.
I don't see two first rounders. That's the Giants posturing. I think a second this year and first next is reasonable plus a player Duke, Zeitler or Ogbah.
I would do that deal seven days a week.
In the past where we were before - no. Now, where we are -yes.
Yeah. I was pimping OBJ before that draft. I was talking about him early in the process and some had a second round grade on him at the time. I watched some LSU games to see Mettenberger because we needed a qb. I hated that dude, but loved OBJ and really liked Landry. As time went on, both moved up on the draft boards.
