You've never schooled me on anything. Period. Some people refuse to learn. Some people refuse to try and find out what's going on in the world around them. Let me give you a prime example as of late. You made a ridiculous statement that "vaccines do not protect you from getting Covid". I had to post sources from the CDC itself to show that there is a pretty high effective rate in preventing people from contracting the virus. No, it's not foolproof. But it does give you a fairly high level of preventing you from ever getting Covid. So much so they call those who do get Covid after being vaccinated breakthrough cases. It's not as effective on the Delta variant but still offers a certain level of protection. But yeah, like I said, you can't school anyone who refuses to learn.

Woah. I'm really sorry to hear that. Thanks. (I didn't know her though.) A few month's back my uncle got his first vaccination, caught Covid, then passed away a few days later. He wasn't in good health, in a nursing home. My brother-in-law's mom just caught Covid and passed away earlier this week. She wasn't vaccinated and had had a stroke a few months earlier. All of the above people were over 70 years of age. I'm 55 now. For me and my family, that whole generation is passing away. Sad but death is part of life, at least for here on earth.

Do you mean a few aches and pains, fatigue for a day or so? Do you mean among those who are already immune deficient? Or are you speaking of any serious, long term side effects among otherwise healthy people? The least amount of long-term side effects among otherwise healthy people. I'm not sure this will answer all of your questions but it does show how anti virus vaccines work, their history of side effects, why long term side effects are so rare and does point to the statistics of any long term side effects they've seen. Hopefully it will at least answer some of your questions. Three things to know about the long-term side effects of COVID vaccines https://www.uab.edu/news/health/item/121...-covid-vaccines

That was very empathetic and well said. Good reminder to me that I need to dial back from my own combative proclivities. I felt like I needed to balance out some earlier posts. I have no problem having an honest discussion with anyone that has sincere skepticism about the vaccines. As I mentioned, I feel there's still room for healthy debate there, so long as it's sincere and reasonable. The Facebook nanobots/Bells Palsy nonsense obviously doesn't fall into that category.

What was her condition before the vaccine?
Did she have issues before? Did she consult her doctor before the vaccine about any pre existing conditions?
What was her age?

A disbelief of science, and an arrogance of Americans has lead us here.
Republican leaders are looking to take power among their constituents, by fanning the flames of ignorance. It ends up in a cycle of death.

A Florida radio host who railed against Dr. Fauci and vaccines has died from COVID-19 Yelena Dzhanova Sat, August 7, 2021, 9:49 AM Longtime radio host Dick Farrel died from COVID-19 after railing against vaccines on Facebook. "Why take a vax promoted by people who lied 2u all along about masks," one of his posts read. After contracting the virus, friends said Farrel texted them and urged them to get the vaccine. See more stories on Insider's business page. A radio host from Florida who publicly bashed coronavirus vaccines has died from COVID-19. Dick Farrel frequently advocated against the vaccine on his personal Facebook page. "Why take a vax promoted by people who lied 2u all along about masks, where the virus came from and the death toll?" Farrel wrote on Facebook on July 3, with no additional context or clarification. "Vaccine Bogus Bull Shid!, Two peeps I know, got vaxed, now have Corona, hospitalized critical," he wrote on July 1. "Thank you Moderna, FOR NOTHING!" His friend, Mike McCabe, said on Facebook that Farrel, 65, had been battling COVID-19 for three weeks before his death this week. Farrel also railed against Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's leading coronavirus expert, calling him a "power tripping lying freak." The longtime radio host was an ardent support of former President Donald Trump, Facebook posts show. After contracting the virus, friends said Farrel texted them and urged them to get the vaccine, according to WPTV, an NBC News affiliate. "He is the reason I took the shot," said Amy Leigh Hair, Farrel's close friend. "He texted me and told me to 'Get it!' He told me this virus is no joke and he said, "I wish I had gotten it!" After his death, friends and former colleagues began to pour in tributes. Lee Strasser, former market general manager for CBS Radio West Palm Beach, said Farrel was "flamboyant, outrageous at times, and willing to take on any and all comers," WPTV reported. "Was he right all the time? No," Strasser added. "But he was "RIGHT" all the time, especially if you asked him. Did he stay out of trouble? Not always. Was he great with clients? Yes. Was he a pleasure in the building? Absolutely. Was he loyal? Unquestionably! Was he skilled? Yessir! His passing is a big loss. He was a kind-hearted person with a load of passion, and his memory will stand the test of time. We have all lost a friend in Farrel." https://www.yahoo.com/news/florida-radio-host-railed-against-134950826.html

These fools that keep saying "they lied about Masks are IDIOTS.. They have no understanding how science works..
Science is NOT truth but it is the Search for Truth.
When science changes it's mind, they aren't lying to you.. Only a damn fool would think that.
The reason Science changes conclusions is because they learned more.
It's really that simple.

j/c:
I emailed a friend who is a supervising nurse at one of the hospitals here in the Greater Cleveland, Ohio area. I asked him the rate between the vaccinated and unvaccinated patients. He said (copied and pasted), "Do not know the rate... but the unvaccinated patients are much more sick."
...Food for thought...

I have no idea why he works so hard at finding and posting every idiotic anti vaxer/anti masker he can when nearly all of their BS has been debunked.

That is almost laughable…. If we did not have the disease to consider.
What is worse? The vaccine or COVID-19????
Literally any vaccine that is taken could be called a toxin, and is intended to produce a immune response.
That is the logic behind all vaccines.
They used to inoculate people with the fluid from a smallpox sore. You would get sick, but not as sick as if you got smallpox. Then they figure out that cowpox would also have the same effect.
Roughly 2 percent of people die with COVID-19. You have a far better chance of not getting COVID-19, because you may not get COVID-19 in the first place. (95 percent reduction). And if you do get it the chance of death is far less, I recall seeing 0.01 percent.
There are no certainty in anything ever when populations are considered. But the chances favor vaccination.
There will be no playoffs. Can’t play with who we have out there and compounding it with garbage playcalling and worse execution. We don’t have good skill players on offense period. Browns 20 - Bears 17.

166.2 million Americans have gotten the vaccine. Very few serious side effects. Over 610,000 Americans have died from covid. Yet people act like it's some tough decision. Over 90% of those hospitalized and those dying are the unvaccinated and people are still listening to the quacks and saying, "Yeah, but I don't know".

The only time that I think it logical to question "should I get the vaccine?"
Is when you have gotten covid and were asymtomatic. You got covid and your body fought it off. Your immune system has memory. It created antibodies and an immune response against the virus.
This is all I have seen:
"Unvaccinated people who have had Covid-19 may be more than twice as likely to get infected again than those who tested positive and bolstered their natural immunity with a vaccine, according to a small study that assessed the likelihood of reinfection.
The study, published on Friday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, examined the risk of reinfection during May and June among hundreds of Kentucky residents who tested positive for the virus in 2020."
That is not complete data. So, I could understand someone being reluctant to get the vaccine if they got it and not much happened.
That does mean that they should not get the vaccine.
However, I could understand questioning in that circumstance.
