We are 3-3.. Not where we expected to be, but not the end of the world either.. Losing a game now isn't the end of the world. Especially if it means we can get healthy for a push to the Playoffs later.
Can't believe i just said that.. Yikes...

Starting Case Keenum might be the prudent thing to do at this point. It's a shame that injuries might derail what was a very promising season. Just our luck

we are 3-3 not 1-5 the only way Baker gets better is with surgery not rest.
Blocking those who argue to argue, eliminates the argument.
Baker might want to shut it down for the year and have surgery. Not only because it gives him the ability to heal properly, but it also means 11 less games of film to put on tape while playing less than 100% when you're fighting for that $$$. It's the old adage sometimes it's better for people to think you're an idiot rather than open your mouth and prove them right. Maybe it's better for Baker if people think he's not an elite franchise QB rather than go out there playing awful while banged up and confirming it.
Fear us, for we are the BROWNS, led by the mighty BM! Only in Cleveland.
Baker’s already lost money IMO. And playing hurt is clearly not working either at this juncture. Not sure what to do (and it’s not my decision lol).
I do know that Keenum is trash too. Putting him out there without either OT is tantamount to giving Denver a win.
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
Surgery now for Baker is to throw the towel in on the entire season.
We were loaded for a Super Bowl run, but it didn't work out. Lots of guys on 1-year deals will be moving on. OBJ will likely get cut or traded, at which point Landry may want to move on as well, and we don't have a whole lot developed behind them; we're about to be back to looking forward to the Draft and trying to build the team. Our Time came and went in six weeks.
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.
If that's the case (no Baker = throwing in the towel), then why are we paying Keenum so much money?
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
Just a reminder last time keenum subbed for a remaining season he went 11-5 and made the playoffs. In this offense. Not saying it will happen again but to say he's trash without any context is silly..he's proven to be good in this offense, if we have to have any backup come in for extended time due to injury to Baker, Keenum is prob the best choice right now. If Chubb and the tackles play I'd play keenum Thursday if nothing else to give baker some time off. If we are going to win thursday its going to be with our run game anyways
Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday. -John Wayne
DPJ deserves more targets. I’d be good with him, Landry, and Higgy going forward

There's a difference between subbing for 1 game and the whole season!
Not when you're one of the highest-paid subs in the league. There are plenty of QBs that are MUCH cheaper that are only good for coming in for a game or two (Colt McCoy came in at the end of the AZ game, who makes league min for his years in the league).

If Mayfield is out for the year, I'd offer a 5th or 6th round pick to Belichick for Brian Hoyer. Failing that, I'd swipe Gale Gilbert from the Patriots practice squad and let him back up Keenum.
Keenum is here because he knows this O and KS knows him. That's why he is being paid so much. If Baker can't play he's the best option. Forget Cam Newton.
When it rains it pours. The Browns curse continues.
The other side of that is, maybe Felton and Johnson step up. I think there's a country song that describes thinking you lost everything, but turns out not? Wait, here it is:
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
The Browns have about a 15-16% chance at any playoff berth this year under current alignment rules.
It's just about the toughest situation in the entire NFL, (And the perfect storm so far). If they could switch places with the Titans, I'd say that chance jumps to just over 70% but, it's not the case.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

It might not be here just yet, but it might be by Friday morning. I brought up the 1 year deal yesterday. No way we will be able to keep all of them and as you mention, i don't feel all that great with some of the players sitting in the wings.
No matter what we do this year, next year might be pretty bad unless a few guys all of a sudden show up.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.
I liked John Kelly in the pre-season. Nice to see him get an opportunity.
Same here. He ran hard and made good reads. Let’s hope it translates.

Can anyone fill me in on whose contracts are expiring at the end of this season?
According to spotrac (which is usually pretty close if not totally accurate) Spotrac - Browns The following contracts are up after this year.
