In the end I suspect we will see gabriel play a lot this year.
Just a general comment...It is pretty apparent we will be drafting a QB in the next draft. Watson deserves what he gets, but he didn't deserve to get booed when he came in for the 3rd qtr. That was pre-established. Sanders fans are going to boo anybody who replaces their guy. When we draft this new guy, Shedufus can't even be on the team. We need to do everything we can to set things up as best as possible for whoever we draft.
I hope Sanders plays well enough we can trade him for some 12 year vet to be brought in to mentor the new guy. Shedufus can't be anywhere in the picture.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.
I've seen you post this a couple of times now. It's pretty disrespectful - but that's fine. But knowing you are a Baker fan, it's worth noting that Gabriel is a shade over 5'11, in bare feet measured at the combine. Baker is not quite 6'1 ...
5’9” or 5’11”. Short or too short — same sh*t, and it doesn’t change anything.
I have absolutely nothing against Dillon Gabriel. He seems like a nice young man from Hawaii with the right attitude. There’s nothing to dislike about him.
It’s not his fault that incompetent leadership put him in an impossible position.
He simply doesn’t have the physical attributes, the size, or the talent to be a starting NFL quarterback. There’s nothing wrong with that — only a very small percentage of players ever make it as NFL starters. With a bit of luck, he can carve out a career as a No. 2 or No. 3 quarterback and make a few million dollars before he retires.
I wish him all the best, but if he’s going to succeed, I think he needs to find a more stable organization with less drama.
As for being called a Baker fan, I take that as a compliment. I love his attitude, his positive mindset, and his willingness to do whatever it takes to win.
His play has been horrible. He then says "it has nothing to do with performance it's personal."
It has a lot to do with performance. He came here with a dark cloud over him. In order to win the crowd he needed to play equal to his paycheck. He did not.
His lack of understanding of what is expected when you are paid to perform is astounding.
His play on the field demonstrates a guy who is shell shocked. He lacks full awareness and it leads to his mistakes.
He expects to be embraced because he works out and does community service. Something he was told to do.
Does he actually believe he should start after going public with his emotions about his treatment from the fans?
When asked he should have said "I need to play well and win games fans want to win."
No he acts like he has been abused. How ironic.
Haslam normally would know the head coach makes the decisions on who plays. In this case he will let his feelings be known.

I don't see how Watson stays on the team.
Perfectly said! The lack of self awareness is astounding.
I didn't think I could dislike him more - but after this, man it just adds salt into the wound.
I mean at the base level it sounds like he has checked out. And I don't blame the media - he stepped right thru that door and opened it up for everyone by himself. Firstly by his own actions and secondly in this interview with his what he said.
Ugh.
I hate the deal that brought him to Cleveland even more now.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.
Well, they can't have a powwow and reinvent how the salary cap works, so I'm not sure what kind of resolution you're looking for. You think Watson's going to leave money on the table for the franchise he's grown to hate? Not likely.
So, obviously this entitled brat has been feeling this way for a while. What exactly did he think we should be cheering for? I can recall one above average game that he showed "glimpses" of his former self. As someone on X said "you can be an $%^hole or you can be bad... you can't be both."
What a joke.
I also love how he low-key says nobody has the balls to say anything to him in public. 🤣
I don't know how this will shake out. Monken is pretty good at avoiding the media b.s. with one-line football talk, maybe that will continue?
I do know that if he does start, he will have a two-game road audition to look otherworldly; or come "home" to a chorus of boos like he's never heard before.
watson's interview yesterday has shown anyone who still had any reservations about it that watson is watson. Blaming the media for asking the questions that watson himself created seems like trying to shift the blame IMO. Spouting about God while plying the victim. I'm certainly glad to see so many who haven't just let him off the hook.
Now for the QB play yesterday.
What I saw from Sanders yesterday is the exact same thing I saw so many criticize Gabriel for. A control style of offense with short to intermediate passes and taking what the defense gives. Sanders didn't try to play hero ball yesterday. Some call that boring but I call it smart. I consider that progress.
But still in the back of my mind I was waiting for the big mistake to come and it did. A throw behind the WR on a short crossing route for the int. Sanders is young and I'm not going to try and crucify him for that mistake. But it's still a consistent tendency people will have to live with.
Sanders made his case to be the starter going into this season. I'm not sure if being the best of a terrible QB room is some great accomplishment but it's better than nothing I suppose.
Watson looked terrible but I won't get into that. He threw for less than 50% and an int. Everyone saw it so enough said.
At any rate, these are the choices we're left with. Thanks Berry.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
I can't get over the fixing of the earrings too - such a symbolic moment
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."
