Yeah for the break in the weather. We are getting hammered down here right now. Roads are crappy as all get out. Black ice, had a smattering of rain, then more snow all over the dang place.

God Speed to mom!

man... I'm suppose to do a 55 mile bike ride tomorrow morning... it's going to be 44 degrees at the start of it...

I thought it was suppose to be warm in Texas?!?!

It was snowing in Dallas!

From what I recall, some of your college CC meets weren't much better. A few miles in, and it'll feel "good."

Yeah... I remember OACs at Ohio Northern where I think the start of the race it was like 30s... but of course I wasn't going 15-20 mph

I'll be alright... and a few alcoholic drinks afterwards and I'll warm right up

I would love to have my phone ring about 7am and hear my boss tell me to stay home tomorrow! Hopefully we get hit hard so the people farther away will have to stay home and we all get the day off. I am about sick and tired of working Saturdays.

The wind has started picking up and it has been snowing pretty good for the past few hours. Prob on our way to well over a foot when all is said and done.

I'm in Westerville and my college is closed tomorrow, I had a test too, this is awesome as hell!!!

Not to mention I just love snow, and personally I have never seen a foot in my lifetime. I don't know whether it's because there's a weird zone over Columbus or for another reason. I simply cannot wait, I don't understand how some can't like this stuff!

Snow, snow, everywhere!

I remember what I did when my college (BW) got closed for snow...

Got extremely drunk, woke up the next day, stole trays from the cafeteria at BW, took trays to the Metroparks and used them as sleds. Eventually, our trays were so "cool" my roommate and I were trading off with "real sleds" and giving the kids our trays.

One of the greatest times of my life.

I just went out and shovelled a path to the garage and there is about 5 or 6 inches of snow.

I heard on the radio that there are around 20 accidents on i-680 and South Avenue in Youngstown. The roads look like they haven't been touched yet.

Yeah ... gotta love snow.

680 was bad, My daughter drove home from St. E's around 4:30.

5:30 in the morning here, and we are getting thunder, lightning, and ice, on top of the four or five inches of snow we already have, plus all five of us have to work today

Kind of crummy here too......says it is 36 and some rain in the area though my driveway doesn't look wet. They say we might get a flake or two....I suppose it is cold enough a few flakes might find the ground....won't stick.

I think the snow is mainly for the mountains that ring the area. They might see a little.....as in less then a dusting......however you measure that.

Edit....after looking at the radar, who knows....maybe we will get a bit...shows it cold and a snow chance into Mid-Alabama.

It's still coming down pretty good where I live and say we have about 10- 12 inches. I don't mind it, can drive in it, and sort of chuckle because of how some of these storms get portrayed, this is probably the 2nd biggest I've seen and we moved here in 99.

I plan on getting out there in a few, get the shoveling done, which isn't much, then clean off my truck, and may lose an hour of my day, maybe.

Wouldn't that be nice . I'm sick of Saturdays let alone one with a foot of snow on the ground. I've shoveled the driveway 3 times already, and I'll have to do it atleast one more time when I get home.

Good amount. We haven't had that much in the years combined since that blizzard in 93 when we had about 20 around here.

I understand the driving part....the roads are taken care of in a good manner up there. They have to be.....you couldn't just shut down for days or weeks at a time.

Usually the hardest part is just getting out to the street.

Have fun with the snow shovel.

Happy Birthday, Peen.

Man, it's bad in SC today too. It was 78 degrees yesterday, but today is rough.

It's only going to be in the low 60s, and while we have sunny conditions, it is pretty windy.

We probably have 12"+. It's very hard to tell with all the blowing going on. There's a 3' drift along one side of the driveway. And, the dogs HATE going outside due to the wind. Going to be another long day inside.

I have my motorcycle parked right outfront by my front door.. there is a drift by the bike such that you cannot even see the front tire and it's up to the headlight.. I assume the tire is 21" or thereabouts..

When I went to take the dog out this morning I couldn't get the back door to the deck open enough for him. I had to leave him in for a few minutes so I could shovel a path. We probably have about 18" to 22" so far.

On one hand I'm ready for spring, but on the other I love the snow! Especially on a Saturday because there is no rush to digging the car out to get to work on time.

Thanks.

Well, our snow event is about over....the sun peeks through every now and then. There is a little dusting of snow on the roofs of the houses in the neighborhood.

Still cold and windy.... calling for a high of 41....with the wind it requires a good coat.

Because shoveling 4" of snow 3 times is easier than shoveling 12" all at once.

Well we don't have 18-22 inches but we got upwards of a foot. Probably close to 15 inches.....North central ohio...and it still looks like a blizzard outside...

We are buried here north of Columbus. March is like this every year. For a few days it gets up in the 60s or so and you think spring is coming. Then you get hit one more time. Worst time of the year.

j/c...

So for those of us who are snowed in...and if we do go out nothing is open...what are your plans tonight?

I'm going to make some filets I've had in the freezer, watch a movie or two that I haven't seen from the collection (deciding between We Own The Night, Michael Clayton, and Beowulf), polish off a few bottles of wine, and maybe hop back on here towards the end of the evening.

This is a classic example of why we should suck it up and mow our own lawns in Spring & Summer....IF your going to put $ out for outdoor activities IMHO....The $ is better spent on snow plow service ....Unfortunately , I didn't follow my own advice ....That won't happen next year !....Your right GM--Puff Puff Drink Shovel Shovel Puff Puff Drink....IF we have to do it we should at least make ourselves motivated....I just hope the Meds don't run out before the snow stops ! ....

I am the only one who cuts my own grass in the neighborhood also. Cut, drink, cut, drink, trim, drink, sweep, drink, pick up grass, drink. At least I burn off the beer calories while I get my exercise

You mean there are some people that don't drink when they mow the yard, OR shovel snow?

Don't blaspheme on this board. I was not aware that you could do either without a beer in hand.

No suck luck for me. I was lae b/c my parking lot was untouched and worse yet I had to park down the road and walk b/c I couldn't pull in coming home. I have lived here my whole life out in the start of the snowbelt and I have never seen it this bad before. The drifts cover my wifes entire car and walking back I actually walked thru drifts past my knees (I am 6ft 1). I take secondary roads to work and none of them were touched. Even 306 was terrible and thats a main road. They bought us breakfast and lunch so I stole wings and a bunch of sandwiches b/c I was going to take the girls to Chuck E Cheese and thats not happening, so at least I have food hehe.
And it's still coming down as bad as it has been all day. There saying when all is said and done were going to get 18-24 inches possibly with drifts up to 4 feet

I did make it to work though and OT is always nice.

Be careful out there folks. If there are pizza places open be sure to hook them fellas up. Here most businesses closed b/c were under a level 3 emergency. my wife got to stay home b/c of it.
