I actually don't mind the Eagles. For the simple fact that they're going to be interesting to watch under Chip Kelly. He's going to upset a lot of NFL coaches. They don't like that stuff he ran at Oregon. He starts doing that in the NFL, he's going to upset a lot of people.

only if it works.

It'd be hard to root for the Jets, but not just because of how bad they are. They're easily the least likable team in the league, in my opinion.

I agree and a lot of that starts with the head coach.. JMO of course.

The Bears released S Tom Zbikowski today ... he has had some success in the 3-4 defense but struggled to adapt to the Bears 4-3 ... worth a look?

The Jets are signing anybody who resembles a football player at this point.

Looks like Cribbs is going to be cut by the Raiders.

Cribbs is getting his knee checked as his time in Oakland nears an end

Posted by Mike Florio on August 25, 2013, 2:57 PM EDT

The career of Josh Cribbs could be coming to a conclusion. At a minimum, his time in Oakland appears to be up.

Per a league source, Cribbs is currently getting his knee checked by physicians as the Raiders plan to move on from the eight-year veteran.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network has reported that the Raiders will cut Cribbs. Depending on the extent of the injury, they may have to put him on injured reserve or agree to terms on an injury settlement. A grievance could be filed to determine how much salary Cribbs should be paid — a question that will be driven by when he is expected to return to 100 percent.

The injured knee isn’t the knee that kept him on the market for an extended period after his contract with the Browns expired.

For now, it’s unknown what the Raiders will do until an assessment of the knee is completed. It appears that, at a minimum, Cribbs’ time with Oakland is over. The only question is whether he gets cut or placed or IR or receives an injury settlement or files a grievance.

I wouldn't wish that on any player to have to go there. I'd rather just see him retire lol.

I feel really bad for Cribbs, but about now, this is making Banner, Lombardi and the coaching staff here look pretty smart.

It's a shame that Cribbs could well go out like that.

McCoy's time in Frisco appears to be at an end as well. Former Browns aren't doing so well in some cases. Somehow Usama Young still has a job though. Explain that one to me.

There were several guys who pimped him prior to the draft last year IIRC. I seem to recall a lot of angst when the Ravens took him.

The Ravens also dumped Visanthe Shiancoe. Man, I don't know who they are going to have play TE for them.

We could pick up Streeter for the first two weeks while Gordon is out ... he'd help us with the Ravens offense as well

If this is the end for Josh, I'd like to see the Browns sign him and let him retire as a Cleveland Brown. Maybe even have a half-time ceremony honoring him. He deserves some recognition for what he meant to this team through some pretty dark years.

Ahhhh..........now I get why you are so offended if anyone criticizes Weeden. You must have made a stand last year in the Weeden/McCoy debate on this particular board last year and God forbid............you were wrong.

People laugh but Banner managed to do it, right?

Bills fear Kolb's latest concussion may be career ending. He needs to retire anyway, dude is injured more than anyone in the NFL possibly.

Interesting...........but I think there is a more interesting story here. Seneca Wallace is a cancer. I don't know if there will be a market for Colt, but I would rather have him as a backup than Wallace. The guy was poison when he was here. SF is a legit SB contender. They don't need the likes of that slime ball.

Yeah SW is problematic.

On another note did Detroit really get White for Lewis?

White, if I remember is a ST stud.

This shows me two things: 1. The Bills know Kolb is DONE. 2. The Bills fear Manuel may be out a while.

Ravens released G R.Harewood, who started 5 games at LG for them last season.

Might be worth a look

Yeah SW is problematic.

IMO, seneca was problematic because he wasnt willing to help his only competition at the position get better, and beat him out for the job. As much as you want a guy who is 100% team first, i definitely cannot blame a guy for realizing he was getting probably his last chance to start for a team (outside of injury), and not wanting to give that opportunity up.

I think that created a rift because of it, but i am not sure he would be a cancer to a team he went to where the starter was obvious from the start. in a back up role, seneca wallace isnt a bad guy to have-- you could definitely be worse off putting a LOT of other QBs in the game instead of him. jmho
